introduccion
El uso racional de la madera de nuestros
bosques tropicales, es una alternativa de
utilización de un recurso renovable para la
construcción.

Existen numerosas especies, muchas de ellas


aptas para la construcción.

De ellas se estudiaron, inicialmente 104


especies de cinco países del grupo ANDINO, 20
de los cuales fueron de nuestros bosque.

Los resultados de estas se plasmaron en el


diseño para maderas y sirvieron para la
elaboración del reglamento nacional de
edificaciones.
