TLP TEMPLATE
TUTORIAL

Honor. Patriotism. Duty.

By 2028, a world class Army that is a source of national pride.

1. Upon receiving the OPORD, determine the unit you belong. This can
be found at the Specific Scenario, paragraph b. Ex: “You are the
Platoon Leader of 1st Pltn, Bravo Company, 73IB, 701Bde”
2. Verify in the Task Organization for you to determine your task
assignment, wether if you are the ME, SE1, SE2 etc.
3. To determine your Task and Purpose, go to para 3 (Execution), sub
para b (Concept of Operation). Example, based in the specific
scenario, you are the 1st PL and based in the task org, the 1st Platoon
is the Coy ME, then your T&P will be like this: “One Platoon (Coy
ME) attacks to seize OBJ DUGUMON in order to allow the forward
passage of the BDE ME towards OBJ DUGUNITS”

Honor. Patriotism. Duty.

By 2028, a world class Army that is a source of national pride.

4. Notice that the task and purpose has no date of execution. For you to
determine your mission, just replace the “one platoon” with “1 st Platoon”
then include your 1,2 and 3 level up unit. Finally, insert the Execution
DTG after your task. Execution DTG is the Attack time for Offense while
the Defend time for Defense. Attack/ Defend time can be found in the
mission of your 2 and 1 level-up unit. Therefore, your complete mission
statement based on the previous mentioned T&P will be:
“1st Platoon, B Coy, 73IB, 701Bde (Coy ME) attacks on D040200 2022 to
seize OBJ RANS in order to allow the forward passage of the Coy ME
towards OBJ DEX.”

Honor. Patriotism. Duty.
