Work Environment and Job Satisfaction

Among Higher Secondary School Teachers

Rationale of the Study
 Job stress and job satisfaction are main matters in any institutions and
profession it can be very effective for production and work rate of an
institution or organization. In an organization the situation of performance
location acts a major part in work place. When the situation of institution is
fine the elevation of work rate is expanding job is a necessary element of
existence.
 Excellence of life over down is someone is not well pleased with the job worry
on task can literally affect the planning of a person. This is a significant
complication So, there is major demand to approach the quantity of stress and
pleasure of job involve exclusive role work burden role of equivocation or
performance burden that why, we have operated these variables because after
evaluate these variables. We will be able to reduce the amount of work stress.

Job Satisfaction
Objective of the Study
To measure the level of job satisfaction of the teachers.
 To undertake a comparative study between male and female teachers regarding
job satisfaction.
 To undertake a comparative study between male and female school teachers

regarding working environment.


 To determine the working conditions. Pay and promotion Potential, work
relationship, use of skills, job design, job feedback determines job satisfaction.
Hypotheses
H1:There would be a significant relationship between working environment and job
satisfaction.

H2: To find out significant difference between job satisfaction and job environment of males
and females.

H3: There is significant difference between government and private sector in job satisfaction
and working environment.
Sample Size, Inclusion and Exclusion
Criteria
 Sample: N=200 teachers with equal distribution(100 females and 100
males) was recruited from different private secondary schools of
Punjab, Pakistan.
 Convenient & Random sampling Techniques will be used to collect
data.
 Inclusion criteria the people ages 21 to 50 are used for the purpose of
the study and according to the criteria.
 Exclusion criteria bellow 21 and above 50 age peoples were excluded
from criteria.
Procedure and Ethical Consideration
 Data was collected by approaching the respondents in the institutions. An
authority letter was taken by the Department of Psychology for getting
permission of data collection from the students. The participants were asked to
participate in research voluntarily. After taking the permission the Work
Environment Scale (WES) and Job Satisfaction Survey were (JSS) distributed
in the Teachers. Agreement of the respondents was taken before collecting
their responses. The researcher was answered all questions that were asked by
the participants. If any participant was asked to share the results with her/him
the researcher was bound to share with them. Time is given to the respondent
more than 20 minutes.

 Work Environment Scale (WES) [Friis, 1981]


 Job Satisfaction Survey by ( Paul E. Spector, 1994)

Organization should adopt change in environment to reduce the boredom of
employees.
Organization should divide work equally in employees to avoid anxiety and
stress.
It is necessary for effective and positive result to build smooth and positive
relationship among employees and co-workers.
Conclusion
 The aim of the present research was to find out the relationship between
Work Environment and Job Satisfaction among higher secondary school
teachers. This research explore the impact of Work Environment on Job
satisfaction with special reference to the higher secondary schools
teachers. Thus, it can be concluded from the above discussion. The results
of the study supports the hypothesis of the present study, which states that
there would be a significant relationship between work environment and
job satisfaction" difference between work environment and job
satisfaction in males and females. The difference between work
environment and job satisfaction of private and Govt higher secondary
school teachers The sample was taken from the Different Govt. and
Private Higher Secondary Schools and the sample of 200 teachers was
taken Pearson Product Moment Correlation and independent t-test was
used to test the hypothesis.
