The Learner-Centered

Lesson Plan
Prepared by:
Florma R. Sanchez, MAED
Why is planning important?
1. It helps us to identify our goals clearly.
2. It makes us decide clearly and concretely what we
need to do to have the effect on society that we want.
3. It helps us make sure that we all understand our goal
and what we need to do.

Teachers- make lesson plans

What is a Lesson Plan?
A lesson plan is a teacher’s daily guide for what students need to
learn, how it will be taught, and how learning will be measured.

Lesson plans help teachers be more effective in the classroom

by providing a detailed outline to follow each class period.

This ensures every bit of class time is spent teaching new

concepts and having meaningful discussions- not figuring it out
on the fly!
What is a learner-centered
learning plan?
A student-centered plan incorporates pupils’
strengths as well as their needs and is
designed in partnership with the pupils rather
that on behalf of the student. A student-centered
plan outlines specific strategies based on the
students’ input and needs.
