FUNCTIONS OF THE BCPC
• Establish and maintain an updated and disaggregated database on
children;
• Prepare an Annual Work and Financial Plan;
• Make recommendations to the barangay on policies and PPAs
relative to children for inclusion in the comprehensive and annual
development plan of the Barangay;
• Perform functions related to its mandate;
• Document the barangay’s PPAs and accomplishments on children;
• Coordinate its efforts with the concerned barangay officials and higher
level LGU;
• Conduct of advocacy activities; and
• Organize the necessary documents needed by the concerned IMTF.

ROLE OF THE LCPC SECRETARIAT

• Monitor services and programs related to LCPC.

MEETINGS AND ACTIONS BY THE LCPC
• When budgetary proposals are being considered, the Chair
must be present.
• All resolutions for endorsement by the LCPCs to the local
Sanggunian and other authorities - including the AWFP and
its accompanying documents - shall be approved by a
majority of its members constituting a quorum, excluding the
Chair. In case of a tie, the Chair shall make the deciding
vote.
