DSA Assignment 1
Aim –
Data Exploration and Visualization Exercise: Objective: Perform exploratory
data analysis and create visualizations to gain insights from a given dataset.

Objective –
1. Load and Explore Stock Market Data: Obtain and examine historical stock
market data for selected companies to familiarize yourself with the dataset's
structure and content.
2. Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Clean and preprocess the dataset to
handle missing values, ensure consistency in data types, and prepare the data
for further analysis.
1. Descriptive Statistical Analysis: Conduct descriptive statistical
analysis to summarize key aspects of the data, such as mean, median,
standard deviation, and correlations between different stock prices.
2. Create Visualizations: Develop various visualizations (e.g., bar
charts, scatter plots, and box plots) to explore and highlight trends,
relationships, and distributions in the data.
 Interpretation and Insights: Interpret the findings from the
visualizations and statistical analysis, providing meaningful insights
into stock market behavior and potential investment strategies

DSA Assignment 2

Aim –
To build a predictive model using machine learning algorithms to predict
housing prices based on various features such as area, number of bedrooms,
bathrooms, stories, and other amenities. The model will be evaluated for its
accuracy and effectiveness, and improvements will be made to enhance its
performance.

Objective –
• To load and preprocess a housing dataset, including handling missing
values and encoding categorical variables.

• To split the dataset into training and testing sets.

• To train a predictive model using a suitable machine learning algorithm.

• To evaluate the model's performance using metrics such as Mean

Squared Error (MSE) and R-squared.

• To fine-tune the model by adjusting parameters or using ensemble

methods to improve its accuracy.
 To compare and interpret the results of different models.
Theory –
Predictive modeling involves using statistical and machine learning techniques to
create a model that can predict future outcomes based on historical data. In this
exercise, we focus on a regression problem, where the target variable is continuous
(housing prices).
Linear Regression: A fundamental algorithm used in regression tasks,
where the relationship between the dependent variable (target) and
independent variables (features) is modeled as a linear combination. The
goal is to find the best-fitting line (or hyperplane) that minimizes the sum of
squared differences between the actual and predicted values.
One-Hot Encoding: A method to convert categorical variables into a format
that can be provided to machine learning algorithms to do a

Model Evaluation Metrics:

Mean Squared Error (MSE): Measures the average squared

difference between the actual and predicted values. A
lower MSE indicates better model performance.
DSA ASSIGNMENT III

Aim –
 Data Visualization Exercise: Objective: Create interactive and
meaningful visualizations using specialized data visualization tools.
Task: Use a data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Load a
dataset related to a specific business scenario (e.g., sales data,
customer demographics). Design and develop an interactive
dashboard with multiple visualizations, incorporating filters,
parameters, and drill-down capabilities.

Objective –
• Data Exploration: Load and explore a dataset relevant to a business
scenario (e.g., sales data, customer demographics).
• Dashboard Development: Design and create an interactive dashboard
using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Multiple Visualizations: Incorporate various types of charts and
visualizations to represent data insights clearly.
• Interactive Features: Integrate filters, parameters, and drill-down
capabilities for dynamic data exploration.
• User-Friendly Interface: Ensure the dashboard is intuitive for users to
interact with and understand.
