Old = oldest
Long= longest
Nice= Nicest
Large= Largest
• 3. If an adjective ends in a vowel and a consonant, we double
the consonant:.
• Big= biggest
• Fat= fattest
• Happy= happiest
• Silly= silliest
• 5. We use most to make comparatives for most two syllable adjectives
and for all adjectives with three or more syllables:
