What is Editorial?
It is an article that presents the newspaper’s
opinion on a certain issue.

Editorials are meant to influence public opinion,


promote critical thinking, and sometimes cause
people to take action on an issue.

In essence, an editorial is an opinionated news


story.
Explain or Interpret - Controversial issues

Types Criticize - Make to see the problem more than the solution

Editori Persuade - Solution is more impact the problem

• P – STATE YOUR POSITION

• E – GIVE EVIDENCES TO SUPPORT YOUR POSITION

• S – OFFER TWO POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEM

• JUST LIKE NEWS, THE FIRST SENTENCE OR PARAGRAPH SHOULD BE CATCHY.

• REPEAT YOUR KEY PHRASES ( VERY ESSENTIAL ) TO REINFORCE YOUR STAND.
