Introductory Activity
Students are asked to explain the importance of accurate data entry in
spreadsheets
Students are asked to demonstrate practically how to carry out the following in a
spreadsheet:
 inserting cells
 deleting cells
 Cut, copy, paste data
 inserting rows
 deleting rows
 inserting columns
 deleting columns
 Merge cells
 Expand row or column to accommodate data manually/automatically
 One click to select all cells
 Adding diagonal line in a cell
 How to save CSV in MS Excel (using project.csv file)
 Show formula/value
Class Task
Download the spreadsheet file Data Model from the channel and open
Insert a new row before the current row 1
Merge cells A-E of the new row
Enter the text, “Students Performance” centralized and Calibri, 24pt
Delete column C
Enter the name Kanzi Amzi in cell B6
Enter the score 55 in D4
Change any of the scores to numbers below 80 or above 79.
