DEFINITION of SCHEDULED WASTES

Group of wastes generated by the industrial and


services sectors which are legislatively categorized
and listed in the local environmental law
(Environmental Quality Act,1974)

Any waste falling within the categories of waste listed


in the First Schedule (Environmental Quality
(Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005)

 The primary aspects of scheduled waste management


include packaging, labeling and storage.

 Proper labeling is necessary to highlight the hazards


connected with scheduled waste and ensure proper
treatment.

SW MANAGEMENT INVENTORY & STORAGE
Scheduled Waste Inventory
 Scheduled waste drum shall be monitor on daily basis (at transit area or store area).
 Scheduled waste inventory shall be monitored and recorded on weekly basis in internal Scheduled Waste
Inventory Form

Scheduled Waste Management & Storage


 All scheduled waste drums that reach 80% capacity shall be wrapped.
 All scheduled waste drums shall be weighed and recorded before storage.
 All drums shall be arranged (3 or 4 drums per pallet) before storage.
 Scheduled waste shall not be kept for more than 180 days from the day it is produced.
 Scheduled waste shall not be kept for more than 20 Ton at one time.

Note:
- Scheduled Waste Container shall not fill beyond 80% of
their capacity.

first day of waste collection.
