ELD DEVICE
AN ELECTRONIC LOGGING DEVICE IS A PIECE OF ELECTRONIC HARDWARE
ATTACHED TO A COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE ENGINE TO RECORD DRIVING
HOURS. THE DRIVING HOURS OF COMMERCIAL DRIVERS ARE TYPICALLY
REGULATED BY A SET OF RULES KNOWN AS THE HOURS OF SERVICE IN THE
UNITED STATES.
A DRIVER HAS TO TAKE REST FOR A FEW HOURS TO START DRIVING AGAIN, IN
TEAM DRIVERS, THE DRIVER SWITCH WITH THEIR CDL’S
TYPES OF EQUIPMENT WE WORK WITH

1. NEGOTIATING TOP PAYING RATES (DEPENDS UPON THE MARKET RATE. THE BEST RATES WE CAN GET).
2. SETUP PAPERWORK (AGREEMENT BETWEEN BROKER AND CARRIER) LIABLE TO PAY IN DAMAGE.
3. FAX, EMAIL, AND DOCUMENTATION: PROVIDE STUFF ETC. WHEN THE DRIVER IS NOT IN REACH.
4. CREDIT CHECKS (A GRADE, B GRADE, OR C GRADE WILL BE CHECKED BY MCN (MOTOR CARRIER NUMBER).
5. REQUEST QUICK PAY (LEAVE IF THERE IS A DELAY OF 3-4 DAYS AND ONWARDS (95% NOT ALLOWED TO QUICK
PAY WHILE 5% ARE ALLOWED BY THEIR COMPANIES.
6. REQUESTING FUEL ADVANCES.
7. REQUEST INSURANCE CERTIFICATES (IN CASE OF LOSS AT THE END OF THE CARRIER) (ABC TRUCKING
[CARRIER] AND YBC BROKERAGE [BROKER]
8. DRIVER DIRECTOR ASSISTANCE (NO GPRS, NO INTERNET, SEND DIRECTION THROUGH CALL).
9. NEGOTIATE QUICK PAY RATES (5% BROKER CHARGE THEIR OWN INTEREST IF THEY ARE DOING QUICK PAY
ETC.) (7% OR 8% CHARGE ON A RATE OF $2000) WILL DO BARGAINING.
10. FACTOR SETUP ASSISTANCE (EVERY CARRIER HAS THEIR OWN FACTORING COMPANY. IF NOT WE WILL
ARRANGE FOR THEM LIKE RTS, QP FUNDING) FIXED RATE (3.5% OR 4% ON EVERY LOAD) (PROVIDE QUICK PAYMENT)
11. COLLECTION ASSISTANCE ( CARRIER WANTS BILLS HANDLED I.E. PROOF OF DELIVERY, INVOICE, AND RATE
CONFIRMATION FORWARD TO FACTORING THEN SEND PAYMENT TO THE CARRIER DIRECTLY).
12. DETENTION CHARGES ASSISTANCE (E.G. IF TRUCK GOES TO THE PU AND LOADING STARTS AFTER 2 HOURS)
13. UNUSED TRUCK ORDER ASSISTANCE (TONU (TRUCK ORDER NOT USED) IF TRUCK REACHES PU AND LOAD
GETS CANCELLED THEN BROKER WILL HAVE TO PAY CHARGES) VERY RARE

*NOTES, AT TIMES THE BROKER IS NOT SET UP WITH THE FACTORING COMPANY, SO QUICK
PAY IS THE ROUTE TAKEN SO THE CARRIER CAN GET ITS PAYMENT AND AN EXTRA
DOCUMENT LOR (LETTER OF RELEASE) IS TO BE OBTAINED FROM FACTORING COMPANY
TO BE PROVIDED TO BROKER.

RATE CON REVISIONS
o Lumper Charges
The labour charges paid for loading and unloading of the load.
o Detention Charges
If the wait at Shipper or Receiver is more than 2 hours than extra
charges are paid in lieu of detention which are mostly $50/ hour.
o Layover Charges
If the wait at Shipper or Receiver is more than 8 hours than extra
charges are paid in lieu of Layover which are mostly $250.
