CATEGORIES OF DRIVERS
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF DRIVERS
LEGAL MILES ALLOWED IN A DAY 600 MILES A DAY!
1 - SOLO DRIVER.
MILES IN A DAY: 600 LEGAL MILES, 50-55MILES IN AN HOUR.
2- TEAM DRIVER.
MILES IN A DAY 1,200 LEGAL MILES, 50-55MILES IN AN HOUR.

Things required from the driver


1- Copy Of CDL
• Commercial Drivers License
• CDL is required to carry more than 28,000 lbs load.

2- Truck & Trailer Number


CDL : COMMERCIAL DRIVERS LICENSE

ELD DEVICE
AN ELECTRONIC LOGGING DEVICE IS A PIECE OF ELECTRONIC HARDWARE
ATTACHED TO A COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE ENGINE TO RECORD DRIVING
HOURS. THE DRIVING HOURS OF COMMERCIAL DRIVERS ARE TYPICALLY
REGULATED BY A SET OF RULES KNOWN AS THE HOURS OF SERVICE IN THE
UNITED STATES.
A DRIVER HAS TO TAKE REST FOR A FEW HOURS TO START DRIVING AGAIN, IN
TEAM DRIVERS, THE DRIVER SWITCH WITH THEIR CDL’S

- 5% PLUS $150 FOR TRAILER

HOTSHOT
Hotshot is a pick up truck with a flatbed as
its trailer. It could be from 20 to 40 feet.

Rate : $1 to $ 1.8 per mile


Weight : 15,000 to 20,000 lbs

Conditions to bring onboard:


o At least 30 Ft

SPRINTER / CARGO VAN
Sprinter / Cargo Van is a pick up van for
small commodities, mostly within city
deliveries.

Rate : $0.6 to $ 1 per mile


Weight : 5000lbs

We try to avoid to bring them onboard as


there loads are difficult to find and cater.
Also there rates are too low to yield a good
invoice.

OUR SERVICES
1. NEGOTIATING TOP PAYING RATES (DEPENDS UPON THE MARKET RATE. THE BEST RATES WE CAN GET).
2. SETUP PAPERWORK (AGREEMENT BETWEEN BROKER AND CARRIER) LIABLE TO PAY IN DAMAGE.
3. FAX, EMAIL, AND DOCUMENTATION: PROVIDE STUFF ETC. WHEN THE DRIVER IS NOT IN REACH.
4. CREDIT CHECKS (A GRADE, B GRADE, OR C GRADE WILL BE CHECKED BY MCN (MOTOR CARRIER NUMBER).
5. REQUEST QUICK PAY (LEAVE IF THERE IS A DELAY OF 3-4 DAYS AND ONWARDS (95% NOT ALLOWED TO QUICK
PAY WHILE 5% ARE ALLOWED BY THEIR COMPANIES.
6. REQUESTING FUEL ADVANCES.
7. REQUEST INSURANCE CERTIFICATES (IN CASE OF LOSS AT THE END OF THE CARRIER) (ABC TRUCKING
[CARRIER] AND YBC BROKERAGE [BROKER]
8. DRIVER DIRECTOR ASSISTANCE (NO GPRS, NO INTERNET, SEND DIRECTION THROUGH CALL).
9. NEGOTIATE QUICK PAY RATES (5% BROKER CHARGE THEIR OWN INTEREST IF THEY ARE DOING QUICK PAY
ETC.) (7% OR 8% CHARGE ON A RATE OF $2000) WILL DO BARGAINING.
10. FACTOR SETUP ASSISTANCE (EVERY CARRIER HAS THEIR OWN FACTORING COMPANY. IF NOT WE WILL
ARRANGE FOR THEM LIKE RTS, QP FUNDING) FIXED RATE (3.5% OR 4% ON EVERY LOAD) (PROVIDE QUICK PAYMENT)
11. COLLECTION ASSISTANCE ( CARRIER WANTS BILLS HANDLED I.E. PROOF OF DELIVERY, INVOICE, AND RATE
CONFIRMATION FORWARD TO FACTORING THEN SEND PAYMENT TO THE CARRIER DIRECTLY).
12. DETENTION CHARGES ASSISTANCE (E.G. IF TRUCK GOES TO THE PU AND LOADING STARTS AFTER 2 HOURS)
13. UNUSED TRUCK ORDER ASSISTANCE (TONU (TRUCK ORDER NOT USED) IF TRUCK REACHES PU AND LOAD
GETS CANCELLED THEN BROKER WILL HAVE TO PAY CHARGES) VERY RARE
PAYMENT METHODS

THERE ARE THREE PAYMENT METHODS


STANDARD PAYMENT
• CARRIER GETS PAID IN 28 - 30 DAYS
QUICK PAY – FROM BROKER
• CARRIER GETS PAID BY THE BROKER IN 1 - 7 DAYS BY
DEDUCTING 3 - 8% FROM THE TOTAL AMOUNT
FACTORING COMPANY – FINANCIAL INSTITUTE
• CARRIER GETS PAID BY THE FACTORING COMPANY IN
24 HOURS DEDUCTING 3 - 4% FROM THE AMOUNT.

RATE CON REVISIONS
o Lumper Charges
The labour charges paid for loading and unloading of the load.

o Detention Charges
If the wait at Shipper or Receiver is more than 2 hours than extra
charges are paid in lieu of detention which are mostly $50/ hour.

o Layover Charges
If the wait at Shipper or Receiver is more than 8 hours than extra
charges are paid in lieu of Layover which are mostly $250.

o TONU (Truck Order Not Used)


If the equipment has entered the shipper premises and then the
load is cancelled then TONU is charged which mostly starts from $150.

ONCE THE POWER UNIT (TRUCK) IS
