 ADOLESCENT HEALTH AND
DEVELOPMENT
To strengthen the advocacy on
preventing teenage pregnancy
among adolescents, the Office of
the Provincial Population Officer
in partnership with our LGU
partners, DepEd and Cavite
Provincial Council for the
Protection of Children (PCPC)
conducted activities for AHD
program. There were a total of 41
activities with 2,947 participants
(20 AHD with Short Film
Dissemination Activity, 17
Teenage Pregnancy Symposium
(TPS) and 4 Parent-Teen Talk (PTT)

NATIONAL STATISTICS MONTH
For the month of October 2023, Cavite
Office of the Provincial Population Officer
(OPPO) in partnership with the Commission
on Population and Development (CPD) -
CALABARZON celebrated the 34th National
Statistics Month with the theme
"Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data
and Statistics for Healthy Philippines"
through an online conference via Zoom
platform held last October 4, 2023.
Regional Director Marilyn F. Ogaya,
MADem, led the discussion by sharing her
expertise about Basic Demography
Orientation, emphasizing the importance of
understanding demographic concepts to the
participants.

Provincial Government Employees and
Community Multipurpose Cooperative
(PGCECMPC) conducted “PARENT SUMMIT
2023: Parenting Goals and Livelihood
Program” held at Ceremonial Hall
Provincial Capitol Building, Trece Martires
City last November 10, 2023. This event
was participated by 65 Parent Leaders of
4Ps Members within the Province of Cavite
With resource speakers Ms. Anna Viela V.
Amparo and Mr. Ariel G. Jarin, with
discussion on ‘Parenting Goal’ and ‘Ako
Bilang Isang Magulang’

Last November 23, 2023 the Cavite
Office of the Provincial Population
Officer held a one-day U4U Teen
Facilitators’ Workshop held at Cavite
Collaboration Center, Trece Martires
City in partnership with Office of the
Provincial Health Officer through
Mr. Ralph Laurence Figueroa
attended by 20 students from
Amaya School of Home Industries
(ASHI), Tanza National Trade School-
MAIN, Tanza National Trade School-
Annex and Tanza National
Comprehensive High School.

Teen Trail 2023 held at Daluyan
Resource Center located at
Malainen, Naic, Cavite last
November 24 to 25,. 2023. This
was participated by 80 students
from Amaya School of Home
Industries (ASHI), Tanza National
Trade School- MAIN, Tanza
National Trade School- Annex
and Tanza National
Comprehensive High School
together with their teacher.
This event was made possible through the effort and partnership with Rural
Health Unit of Tanza led by Dra. Ruth S. Punzalan, Nutrition Office of Tanza,
DepED Division of Cavite and Office of the Provincial Health Officer (OPHO)
through the Health Education and Promotion Office, Provincial Council for
the Protection of Children, and BM Rommel Enriquez. This was also
supported and attended by Mr. Andy Pergis and Mr. Felix Cabsag Jr.
