The annual celebration of National Arts Month started with
the signing of Presidential Proclamation 683, in 1991,
declaring February as National Arts Month. Over the
years, NCCA (National Commission for Cultural and
Arts), as well as private and government agencies, have
been organizing events and activities to highlight the
artistic brilliance of the Filipinos.

What are the different Pest control and rodents
that you learn from the lesson?
What are the effects of pest and rodents in one’s
health? How they can be control and prevented?
Common household pests include insect
(cockroaches, flies, mosquito, ants, termites,
fleas and rodents) that cause diseases and can
hazard in people, problem in plants, animals or
in the environment. These creatures are the
primary carriers of diseases and illnesses that
can passed on to human through bites or
droppings.
Control and prevention of pest and rodents:
1. Non chemical measures - proper sanitation
2. Chemicals measures - proofing seal all
openings for rodents, use of pesticides, use of
screenand using insecticides
3. Ultrasonic repellants - careful storage of foods,
water and elimination of clutter
