CE PRESENTATION Operation Aspects of OneDrive

INTRO
1. OneDrive is a cloud storage service provided by Microsoft that is integrated with
Windows operating systems. It allows users to store, share, and access files from
any device with an internet connection. It is designed for personal use and offers
5GB of free storage space. Here are its operational aspects:

used to perform specific tasks while using OneDrive.

UPLOADING FILES AND
FOLDERS
One drive has functionality to upload file and folders from other file services like file
explorer into OneDrive itself. This is possible with only file and folders less than
5GB size.
Steps:
Login into OneDrive using your Microsoft account
Click on upload and select either file or folder on the options
Select any folder(s) or file(s) of your desire.
Click “open”
Or open 2 windows, OneDrive on the other and file explorer on the other and
select all files or folders from file explorer then drag them into OneDrive window.
CREATING FILES AND
FOLDERS
OneDrive also has a feature to create new file(s) and folder(s) which will be saved in
its offered 5GB storage.
Steps:
Login into OneDrive
Click “new”
Select either folder or file
Name folder or select file type
Save folder or create a file in a new window that allows file format
Name and save file.
SHARING A FILE/FOLDER USING
ONE DRIBE:
1. Select the file or folder you want to share.
2. Click on the “share” button in the toolbar.
3. Enter the email addresses of the people you want to share the file with.
LIMITTING ACCESS TO SHARED
FILES/FOLDERS:

•Choose the permission level for each recipient. When sharing a file or folder you
can specify whether the recipient can edit the content. In the sharing dialog box
select the appropriate permission level. (e.g view only, edit).
•Set Expiration Dates: You can set expiration date for shared links to limit access to
a file or folder for a specific period. When sharing a file, click on “set Expiration”
and choose a date when the link will expire.
•Password-protect shared links: In the sharing dialog box, click on “set password”
next to the link. Enter a password and click on “Apply”. Share the link with the
password to ensure only authorized users can access the content.
DELETING FILES

1. Open File Explore


2. Click on the Blue OneDrive icon
3. Right-click on any folder or file you want to remove from your computer
4. In the menu, click on ‘clear space’
Note:
This will remove the folder or file from your computer, but it will still be available in
the cloud. If you open the document later , you will need to use “clear space” to
remove it again

With Google Docs, you can create and edit text documents right in your web browser-no special
software is required. Even better, multiple people can work at the same time, you can see
people’s changes as they make them, and every change is saved automatically.

DOCS
Creating a new document

1. open the Docs home screen at docs.google.com.


2. In the top left, under “start a new document ,” click Blank.
IMPORTING A DOCUMENT
•Go to drive.
•Click New. File upload
•Choose the file you want to import from your computer to add it to drive.
•In the Upload complete window, show file location.
•Right click the file and select Open with>Google Docs/sheets/slides.
EDITING AND FORMATING
DOCUMENTS
•Open a document in Google Docs.
•To select a word , double click it or use your cursor to select the text you want to
change.
•Start editing.
•To undo or redo an action, at the top, click Undo or redo.

NOTE: To edit a document on a touchscreen device, like a pixel Book, double tap
the document to start typing.
SHARING AND
COLLABORATING WITH
OTHERS
Google docs enables users to work together effectively without the need for physical
meetings. It allows users to view and edit, the document simultaneously regardless of
their location. Again users can leave feedback on specific sections of the document,
ask questions ,and discuss ideas without leaving the document. So this helps to build
relationships and faster teamwork among members, which can improve
communication an productivity.

It eliminate need for sharing drafts via emails or other means, because everyone will
be working on the same document at the same time.
PRINTING AND
DOWNLOADING A DOCUMENT
Printing and downloading documents in google docs is an essential part of using the
platform, it allows users to create physical copies of the work.
To print or download a document we simply click the file tab in google docs menu
bar and select appropriate option .In the print or download dialogue box, we can
specify settings we want. Such as numbers of copies, orientation, and page range.
