- Mediterranean Beaches

Personal character and integrity are highly valued traits,

as is modesty. The family, both nuclear and extended, is
the central social unit in Spain. Like many collectivist
cultures, Spanish society deeply values group affiliation
– to a family, an organization, or a community
1. PAELLA
- Paella is a dry rice dish from the Valencia
region,on Spain’s Mediterranean coast.
-Paella takes its name from the paellera, the
ustensil in which is cooked, a flat round pan with
two handles
-an authentic paella Valenciana has exactly ten
ingredients (short grain rice, chiken, rabbit, water,
tomatoes, wide green beans, garrafo beans,
saffron,olive oli,salt)
-paella is a festive dish that brings people
together.
PAELLA RECIPE
• Firstly, the olive oil is heated in a
large frying pan or wok and the
onion is added.
• Then, the smoked paprika,thyme
and paella rice are added. After
that, the chopped tomatoes and
chicken stock are stirred.
• Later, all of this is cooked until the
rice is almost tender and still
surrounded with some liquid.
• Finally, the seafood mix is stirred
until it is cooked. Then, lemon
juice is squeezed over and after
this, the paella is served hot.
2.Leche merengada
 Leche Merengada is the true star drink of summers in
Andalusia

 It is made from a base of milk and egg whites,

sweetened with sugar and flavored with cinnamon. It is
usually served very cold, such that part of the drink is
partially frozen with a texture similar to snow.

3.Tortilla Española
A tortilla Española has nothing to do with the thin
flatbread you'll find wrapped around tacos and
burritos. It is actually a type of omelet filled with
potatoes and onions that have been poached in olive
oil
4.Huesos de santo

Huesos de santo or saint’s bones is a Spanish finger-shaped treat

that is traditionally prepared for All Saints’ Day. The name comes from
the visual appearance – this sweet treat looks like a white bone on
the outside, which is actually marzipan paste, while the interior hides
a sticky yellow filling made with beaten egg yolks and sugar.

Although the combination of egg yolks and sugar is the traditional

filling, huesos de santo can also be filled with chocolate, coconut,
cream, and similar sweet ingredients.
5. Roscón de Reyes
Roscón de Reyes (which in English roughly translates to
“kings cake”) is a round or oval-shaped cake With a
sweet, creamy filling inside and candied fruit adorning
the top, it gives off the appearance of a jeweled crown.

If your slice of roscm,n,ón de Reyes includes a small

figurine of a king, congratulations! You’re the “king” of
the celebration and get to wear the paper crown that
came with the cake. On the other hand, if your slice has
a dry bean in it, you have to pay for the cake next year!
ROSCON DE REYES RECIPE

1.To start, pour 350 g of flour in a large bowl, and add the sugar,
yeast dissolved in warm water, rum, milk, orange zest, and butter. Mix
lightly and add one of the eggs and a pinch of salt, then knead
.2.Form a ball with the dough and make a hole in the center. Carefully,
stretch and shape the roscón.
3.Add the topping on top, like the candied fruit, sliced almonds, and
granulated sugar.
4.Bake the roscón until it is golden and cooked through. Let it cool for
a bit before eating it.
