Objectives of Project

• The purpose of Event Management System is to automate the existing manual system by the help
of computerized equipments and full-fledged computer software fulfilling their requirements, so
that their valuable data/information can be stored for longer period with easy accessing and
manipulation of the same. The required software and hardware are easily available and easy to
work with.

• Our aim is to make a user friendly application that can let a user to plan an event. The user can
select the event and according to event the appropriate arrangements can be made. Choice of
arrangements can be made from the list of panel. Client will also find out the cost for the
particular decoration and virtual representation of that particular decoration. The project will
help Clients to decorate for an event and the cost required for particular decoration. No need to
visit hotel and decorators.

Methodology

• The methodology used in this project is MERN

Stack
• The MERN stack is a web development
framework that uses four technologies to
create applications: MongoDB, Express,
React.js, and Node.js
• The stack's structure separates the backend
and frontend code, following the Model-View-
Controller (MVC) pattern.
• The front end will be implemented with React
and the back end will be implemented
with MongoDB, Node.js, and Express.

Work Done

• Sign up: It is the process of creating a new

account. This usually involves providing some
personal information, such as your name, email
address, and a password.
• Log in: Log in is the process of accessing an
existing account. This usually involves providing
your username and password.
• Authentication: Authentication is the process of
verifying that you are who you say you are. This
is usually done by comparing your username and
password to the information stored in the
system's database.
• Home Page: A home page is the main web page
that a visitor will view when they navigate to a
website via a search engine. and it may also
function

Work to be Done

• Event Task Manager Module :

• The module is having the information of the events and their task manager details. Events task are
maintained here, the total details of the events and incharge details maintained. In this module the
information of the event and their details like, what are the events are there and from which event
and to which event the movement is going on, which date, status of the event etc.
• Testing:
• The purpose of testing is to discover errors. Testing is the process of trying to discover every
conceivable fault or weakness in a work product. It provides a way to check the functionalities
of components, sub assemblies, and/or a finished product it is the process of exercising
software with the intent of ensuring that the software system meets its requirements and
user expectations and does not fail in an unacceptable manner.

• Payment Module:
• In this module user can pay the amount.

Timelines

• Week :1 Planning and Set Up: Project planning is a discipline addressing how to complete a
project in a certain timeframe, usually with defined stages and designated resources.
• Week :2 and 3 Front End: Front-end web development, also known as client-side development,
This includes the parts of a website that users interact with, such as text boxes and buttons.
Front-end web development uses web languages like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to create what
users see and interact with.
• Week: 4 Back End: Back-end development means working on server-side software, which focuses
on everything you can’t see on a website. Back-end developers ensure the website performs
correctly, focusing on databases, back-end logic, application programming interface (APIs),
architecture, and servers.
• Week: 5 Database and Connectivity: The database stores information about the users, products,
orders, and more. A database is an important component of any web application because it
provides a central location for storing user information and business logic. In addition to this, it
allows you to store complex data structures with minimal effort.
