At the end of the lesson, the learners is expected to:

2.Perform the procedure in making Fermented Plant

3.Appreciate the ecological benefits of using FPJ in
promoting sustainable Agriculture.
CONCOCTION
Concoction is a replacement of chemical-based fertilizer and
other synthetic food ingredients for plants and animals. And it
is being done through fermentation.
BENEFITS OF USING FERMENTED
PLANT JUICE

• It helps in the modification of soil to speed up the


growth of plants
• It activates enzymes in the leaves for greener leaves
• It helps digesting of food substances of plants and
animals
• Natural Growth enhancer
Materials:(1:2)
• Any of these plants: Kangkong, banana trunk, bamboo shoots, camote
tops,alugbati or leguminous plants
• Molasses/Sugar
• Chopping board
• Knife
• Wooden ladle
• Plastic Container
• Nylon Screen/net
• Stone (5-8 pieces)
• Manila paper
• Marker
• Rubber band/ any string
• Masking tape
PROCEDURES
1. Clean and wash plants
2. Drain for 5 minutes
3. Slice to an inch size;
4. Mix all plants and molasses thoroughly in a plastic
container
5. Put nylon screen on the top of the mixture
6. Put 5-8 pieces stones on the top of the nylon screen;
7. Wipe the mouth of the plastic container
8. Cover and add label. Ferment for 7 days
After 7 days, drain the liquid and place in plastic or glass
bottle
HOW TO USE FERMENTED PLANT JUICE?

Mix 2 tablespoon of Fermented Plant juice to 1 liter of water


Spray or drench into the plants
