Why do we have to master Phonetic Alphabet in
the travel industry?

• Standardized words for each letter of the alphabet, such as


"Alpha" for "A," are used to avoid confusion or
misunderstandings.

• Using the phonetic alphabet can help avoid mistakes and


errors that could lead to serious consequences in the travel
industry.

• The phonetic alphabet is widely used in the aviation


industry for quick and accurate communication between
pilots and air traffic controllers.

• A Passenger Name Record, PNR contains
details of a passenger’s reservation, and
other information related to passenger’s
trip.
• Each PNR consists of collection of
information items called elements.
