Dept.

of Computer Science & Engineering was


established in the year 1981 under the leadership
of Dr. S. Ramegowda founder Principal of BIT, and
Prof. Ramakrishna with an intake of 20 students.
Now Dept. has exalted with an intake of 240 from
the academic year 2023-2024.
With a vision To be a center of excellence in
computer engineering education, empowering
graduates as highly skilled professionals.
CSE dept. has state of art infrastructure with fully equipped
laboratories and smart classrooms. Dept. has well qualified
Teaching and Technical staff, , about 40% of staff are
doctorates and 60% are pursuing Ph.D. in reputed
universities.
Dept. has good no. Q1 and Q2 Publications.

To par with industrial requirement students and Staff are


trained through hands on workshops, hackathons ,
Seminars by industry resource persons in association with
MOU companies namely Juniper Networks , Rubixe, Web3,
COdeDot, etc.
To highlight few achievements
Recently our students have participated and won
and hackathons organized by Karnataka State
Police and Hack fest organized by Mistral
Solutions
To Build leadership qualities and organizing skills
dept. has started student clubs through these
clubs students will take initiatives in organize
workshops, hackathon , preplacement events ,
cultural and sports activities.
• Dept has an outstanding placement records for
the year 2023-2024, many of our students are
placed in leading MNC’s like Amazon ,CISCO
intuit , Adobe ,Onedirect, SAP labs, Dell
Technologies , Pentagon space, Fidelity.

• Our alumni are spread across the globe with


high profile jobs and CEO of many Startups.
