Part 4:

THE SPIRITUAL SELF

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience.
We are spiritual beings having a human experience.”

― Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Your Spiritual Self recognizes and intuits all needs and questions.
She helps direct each Self to the best solutions. She is the quiet,
invisible force in the background that holds the whole party
together.

Your Spiritual Self has been there, in the background of your

experience your entire life. Science and many individuals have
denied her existence since patriarchal societies began to
dominate the planet many centuries ago. She never dominates
your life, but insists on working with the other aspects for an
integrated self. Only your Spiritual Self can facilitate this. She is
clearly connected to your ultimate source of information and
light.
THIS LESSON FOCUSES ON BELIEFS AND INCLUDES THE

THE SPIRITUAL FUNCTIONS OF RITUALS AND CEREMONIES. THE TOPICS WILL

The soul according to indigenous filipino is known as

For the Ibanags, the soul is the principle of life in man. Body is the matter
and soul is the form.As long as body and soul are one unit, man is alive.
Death is the separation of the soul from the body.

For the Ilonggos, they call the soul Dungan, which cannot be seen by the
human eye. Sometimes the Dungan may show itselfin the form of a
butterfly, insects,or lizard.

For the Bisayans, the Dungan may leave its body voluntarily while the
person is asleep. The Dungan is weak at birth, that is why babies are
