1.0 Introduction
This training course is intended for Installation / Service technicians and Administrators or operators who will be involved with
installing and maintaining Honeywell CCTV systems installed at Abdullah Financial District.
All revisions of this document will be electronically controlled as per the Document Management Plan. This Plan is a live
document and will be updated from time to time, as deemed appropriate, inaccordance with scope, policies and procedures that may
change to meet the Employer’s requirements
1. System Description
The CCTV systems provide surveillance capabilities used in the protection of people, assets, and systems. A CCTV system serves mainly as a
security force multiplier, providing surveillance for a larger area, more of the time, than would be feasible with security personnel alone.
CCTV systems are often used to support comprehensive security systems by incorporating video coverage and security alarms for barriers,
intrusion detection, and access control. For example, a CCTV system can provide the means to assess an alarm generated by an intrusion
detection system and record the event.
2. Purpose
The purpose of this training session is to build a solid working knowledge of Honeywell CCTV Solutions installed at KAFD. This
training will cover IPTV camera, NVR and ProWatch VMS solutions. Hands-on exercises will help the attendees to build experience on
the subjects. The following items will be discussed during the training session:

the training and the evaluation of training outcomes.
2.0 Training
Pro-Watch™ Video Management System (Pro-Watch™ VMS) is an enterprise-class video management and hybrid
solution. It enables you to operate the traditional analog, network and IP based video equipment in the same surveillance network.
You can deploy thousands of cameras in number of locations, and add many video devices such as recorders and monitors.
This guide is intended for the operators of Pro-Watch VMS system
ProWatch VMS application
Pro-Watch™ VMS is based on the client-server architecture. The following diagram illustrates the client-server architecture and different
components that can be added to constitute the Pro-Watch™ VMS system
The scalable architecture enables you to expand or downsize the video surveillance network as and when needed. You can downsize
the video surveillance network to a single client workstation and server configuration. It can also be expanded to include multiple
client workstations and servers
The following diagram shows the single workstation architecture.
PROJECT BOQ
Honeywell’s Pro-Watch NVR is an open, flexible and scalable Enterprise IP video surveillance system. Utilizing Honeywell’s high-
definition cameras, Pro-Watch NVR is a powerful, high-definition IP recording system with support for standards, remote viewing
clients.
Technical Data:
Indoor Dome Camera Model H4W5PER2K
The 5 MP Dome Camera shall provide excellent low-light performance and together with H.265 Profile codec saving storage and
bandwidth. Built-in PoE (Power over Ethernet) eliminates separate power supply and associated wiring; 12V DC inputs where PoE power is
unavailable. Remote configuration, motorized focus and zoom adjustments and auto focus through web client or from the NVR.
Technical Data:
Camera Mount HQA-WK
The mounts provide easy cable routing with no exposed wiring, and the cameras can be installed, adjusted, and tested
without repositioning the housing. All of the mounts and accessories are suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
Work Station
Honeywell’s Pro-Watch VMS (video management system) controls multiple sources of video subsystems to
collect, manage and present video in a clear and concise manner. Pro-Watch VMS intelligently determines the
capabilities of each subsystem across various sites, allowing video management of analog or digital video
devices through a unified configuration and viewer. The subsystems can be analog matrix switches or digital/network
video recorders allowing both analog or digital input to be viewed on an analog or digital monitor. Users can
benefit from using traditional analog systems and IP-network systems at the same time to ensure maximum use of
their initial investments. These subsystems range from Honeywell matrix switchers, DVR/NVRs and 3rd party
systems. Pro-Watch VMS supports emerging technologies in the industry, like 4K resolution, H.265 smart video
compression codec and multi-imager cameras

Creating Clips
Clips can be created and exported from both primary and redundant recorder cameras. You
can create clips from the recorded video. These clips can be saved with digital signatures.
Digital signatures ensure authenticity of clips. Digital signatures are primarily used to authenticate
videos that are produced in courts as evidence. A digital signature generates a unique string
for the clip using algorithms recommended by the W3CThe World Wide Web Consortium
(W3C) is an international consortium where member organizations, a full-time staff, and the
public work together to develop Web standards. If the video in the clip is modified, a
verification check for the unique string fails indicating that the content is tampered. When a clip is

signatures ensure authenticity of clips. Digital signatures are primarily used to authenticate
videos that are produced in courts as evidence. A digital signature generates a unique string for
the clip using algorithms recommended by the W3C. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is
an international consortium where member organizations, a full-time staff, and the public
work together to develop Web standards. If the video in the clip is modified, a verification check
for the unique string fails indicating that the content is tampered. When a clip is saved with
the digital signature, a package file with the .PKG extension is created to save the clip.
A salvo layout that is customized based on the preferences of the operators is referred to as a
salvo view. Cameras and scan sequences that are selected frequently and the preferred salvo
layout can be saved as a salvo view.
Operators can search for recorded video from cameras connected to Pro-Watch NVR. The
search results can be filtered based on conditions like video recorded today, yesterday, and
others.
Two types of reports, namely event history report and operator log report, can be
generated.
The event history report can be generated for cameras, monitors, and recorders. The
event history report lists the events related to a device during a time period.
The operator log report can be generated to view the activities performed by users. The operator
log report lists the activities performed by users during a time period. For example, creating clips,
adding bookmarks.
