Interactive Multimedia

Interactive multimedia is defined as any computer-delivered electronic system that allows users to control, combine, and manipulate different types of media. It uses more than one medium of expression or communication, allowing a two-way flow of information between the computer and user. Interactive multimedia can integrate any media that enables people to engage with content, such as text, web, disk, video, audio, virtual reality scenes, social media, video games, and apps. It provides users control over the content by allowing them to link, sort, search, and annotate materials. Common uses of interactive multimedia include education, training, games, simulations, information and corporate presentations.

Interactive Multimedia is
defined as any computer-
delivered electronic system
that allows user to control,
combine, and manipulate
different types of media.
Interactive multimedia has been
called the "hybrid media
technology" because it can
integrate any media that enables
people to engage to content (print,
web, disk, video, audio, virtual
reality scene, social media, video
games, and apps, PDF, web link,
etc.).
It's not just access that makes
multimedia efficient, but the
control provided to users over the
content. By linking, sorting,
searching, and annotating
activities, interactive media
authoring programs allow users to
manipulate the materials.
It signifies that
interactive multimedia
is about using
