Introduction to company
Hyundai was established in 29 December 1967 in South
Korea, Hyundai entered in Indian market in 1996.
Hyundai makes very affordable cars and they have a wide
variety of cars for every type of customer. Modi Hyundai
service center has turn over around 2-3 CR and there are
40 technicians working in Modi Hyundai. We started our
Internship on 10/06/2023.
Tyre
•Tyre removal and reinstallation is a relatively simple task
that can be done by most car owners. However, it is
important to follow the correct safety procedures to
avoid injury.
•To remove a tyre, you will need a jack, a lug wrench, and
a wheel chock. First, apply the handbrake and chock the
wheels opposite the flat tyre. Then, jack up the car until
the flat tyre is just clear of the ground. Use the lug
wrench to loosen the lug nuts, but do not remove them
completely. Lower the car slightly so that the weight of
the car is still on the tyre. Then, remove the lug nuts and
take off the tyre.
Assembly of suspension
•The assembly of suspension in cars is a complex process
that requires a high level of precision. The different
components of the suspension system must be installed
in the correct order and with the correct torque settings.
•The first step in the assembly process is to install the
springs. The springs are typically made of steel or
aluminum and are designed to absorb the impact of
bumps and potholes. The springs are attached to the
frame of the car and to the axle.
Radiator flushing
•Radiator flushing is the process of cleaning out the radiator and cooling
system of a car. This is done to remove any old coolant, rust, or debris that
may have accumulated over time. A radiator flush can help to improve the
efficiency of the cooling system and prevent overheating.

•To flush a radiator, you will need a few tools and supplies, including:

• A bucket or pan.
• A funnel
• A hose
• A radiator flush chemical
• New coolant
Engine oil changing
•Oil changes are an important part of car maintenance. The oil in
your car's engine lubricates the moving parts, helps to keep the
engine cool, and prevents dirt and debris from accumulating. Over
time, the oil will break down and become contaminated, which
can lead to engine problems.
•Here are some of the benefits of changing your car's oil
regularly:
• It helps to keep your engine running smoothly and efficiently.

• It can help to extend the life of your engine.

• It can help to prevent engine damage.

• It can help to improve your car's fuel economy.

Spark plugs
•Spark plugs are an important part of your car's engine. They
ignite the air-fuel mixture in the cylinders, which is what makes
your car run. Over time, spark plugs can wear out and become
damaged. This can lead to a number of problems, including
poor fuel economy, engine misfires, and rough idling.
•The frequency with which you need to change your spark
plugs depends on a number of factors, including the type of
car you have, your driving habits, and the environment you
drive in. In general, most cars need their spark plugs changed
every 10000 to 15000 kilometres . However, you should check
your owner's manual for the specific recommendations for
your car.
Disc brake skimming
•Brake skimming is the process of removing a thin layer of
material from the surface of a brake disc. This is done to
remove any grooves or imperfections that may have
developed in the surface of the disc, which can cause the
brakes to be less effective.
• Brake skimming is a relatively simple procedure that can
be done at a mechanic's shop or by a qualified DIYer. It is
usually done using a brake lathe, which is a machine that
spins the disc while a cutting tool removes a thin layer of
material.
Brakes
•In cars, a brake refers to a mechanical or hydraulic system designed to
slow down or stop the vehicle's motion. It is an essential safety feature
that allows drivers to control the speed and bring the vehicle to a
complete stop when necessary.
•There are two primary types of brakes commonly used in cars:
•Disc Brakes: Disc brakes use a rotor (a flat, circular metal disc) attached to
the wheel hub and a caliper that houses brake pads. When the driver
applies the brake pedal, hydraulic pressure is used to force the brake pads
against the rotor's surface. The friction between the pads and the rotor
creates a braking force that slows down or stops the vehicle.
•Drum Brakes: Drum brakes consist of a brake drum, which is a round
metal housing, and brake shoes with friction material. When the brake
pedal is pressed, hydraulic pressure forces the brake shoes against the
inner surface of the drum, creating friction and slowing down the vehicle.
Catalytic converter
•A catalytic converter is a device that is used to reduce
emissions from an internal combustion engine. It is made up of
a honeycomb-like structure that is coated with a catalyst,
which is a substance that speeds up chemical reactions. The
catalyst in a catalytic converter reacts with the harmful gases in
exhaust fumes, converting them into less harmful substances.
•Catalytic converters are an important part of emission control
systems in cars. They help to reduce the amount of pollutants
that are released into the air, which can improve air quality and
reduce the risk of health problems. There are two main types
of catalytic converters: oxidation catalysts and reduction
catalysts
E.G.R (EXHAUST GAS
RECIRCULATION)
•Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is a system that is used to
reduce emissions from an internal combustion engine. It works
by recirculating a portion of the exhaust gas back to the
engine's intake manifold. This inert exhaust displaces some
amount of combustible charge in the cylinder, effectively
reducing the quantity of charge available for combustion
without affecting the air-fuel ratio. In a diesel engine, the
exhaust gas replaces some of the excess oxygen in the pre-
combustion mixture. Because NOx forms primarily when a
mixture of nitrogen and oxygen is subjected to high
temperature, the lower combustion chamber temperatures
caused by EGR reduces the amount of NOx that the
combustion process generates.
Oil filter
•An oil filter is a device that removes contaminants from engine oil. It is an
important part of the lubrication system of an internal combustion
engine, as it helps to keep the oil clean and prevent it from becoming
contaminated with dirt, dust, metal particles, and other debris.
•How does an oil filter work?
•The oil filter is located in the engine's oil system, and it is connected to
the oil pump. When the oil pump circulates the oil through the engine, it
also passes through the oil filter. The filter media in the oil filter traps the
contaminants, and the clean oil is then circulated back to the engine.
•How often should an oil filter be changed?
•The frequency with which an oil filter should be changed depends on the
type of vehicle and the manufacturer's recommendations. However, in
general, it is a good idea to change the oil filter every time you change the
oil.
A.C compressor
•The compressor is the heart of an air conditioning system. It is responsible for
compressing the refrigerant gas, which increases its pressure and temperature. This
hot gas is then passed through the condenser, where it is cooled and converted back
into a liquid. The liquid refrigerant is then passed through the evaporator, where it
absorbs heat from the surrounding air. This cool air is then blown into the room,
providing a comfortable environment.
•There are two main types of AC compressors: reciprocating and rotary.
Reciprocating compressors use pistons to compress the refrigerant gas, while rotary
compressors use rotating vanes or screws to do the same.
•AC compressors can fail for a variety of reasons. Some of the most common causes
include:
•Low refrigerant levels: This can cause the compressor to overheat and fail.
•Dirty or clogged filters: This can restrict the flow of refrigerant and cause the
compressor to work harder than necessary.
•Worn or damaged belts: This can cause the compressor to seize up or fail.
