Before starting my speech, I am to thank you all for your interest and
participation in the most prevailing subject and would like to introduce
myself; I am Akhtar Mahmood, a Certified Human Resource Management
Professional (CHRMP), Certified Performance Management Specialist
(CPMS), Certified Trainer, QMS Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and SAP S/4 Hana
BPO for HCM-MM-SD, having 35+ years working experience with the
exposure to work with Chemical, Textile, Poultry, Automobiles, FMCG,
Sugar, Engineering, Dairy, Home Appliances, Cement sectors, Glass
industry, Foam industry and currently in Steel Sector with an exposure to
perform the different roles at Executive Level in HR, Admin, IR, Operations

world is rapidly transforming towards Information Technology Era

creating intelligent machines that can learn, reason, and make decisions similar

to humans. AI encompasses a range of techniques and algorithms that enable

machines to process and analyze data, recognize patterns, and adapt to

changing circumstances. It finds applications in various fields such as

healthcare, finance, transportation, education, and entertainment among

others. AI has the potential to improve efficiency, accuracy and innovation

across industries, impacting our daily lives in numerous ways.

• In recent years, AI has continued to advance at an unprecedented pace.
Breakthroughs in natural language processing and reinforcement learning
have propelled the development of conversational agents, virtual assistants,
and autonomous systems. AI-powered technologies like self-driving cars,
smart home devices, and personalized recommendation systems have
become increasingly integrated into everyday life.
• It is important to note that AI is a rapidly evolving field, and the stages
mentioned above provide a broad overview of its historical development.
The future of AI holds the promise of further advancements in areas such as
explainable AI, AI ethics, and the societal impact of intelligent systems.
• AI has made significant advancements and found applications in various
fields of life. Here is a brief introduction to the use of AI in different domains:
Healthcare
AI is revolutionizing healthcare by improving diagnostics, treatment,
and patient care. Machine learning algorithms can analyze medical
images, such as X-rays and MRIs, to aid in the early detection of
diseases. AI-powered systems also assist in drug discovery,
personalized medicine, and medical research.
Finance
In the financial sector, AI is used for fraud detection, risk
assessment, and algorithmic trading. AI algorithms
analyze vast amounts of financial data to identify patterns,
make predictions, and automate decision-making
processes. Chatbots and virtual assistants are employed

It is important to note that while AI can automate certain HR


tasks and improve efficiency, it does not replace human
interaction and decision-making. HR professionals still play a
crucial role in strategic planning, employee development, and
maintaining a positive work culture.
Concluding Words
Dr. Hinton the godfather of AI and top researcher has resigned over the sever negative
impacts of AI globally. He warned against the misuses if AI by the top criminals and cyber-
crackers leading the world towards the digital hell. Moreover, the increasing placement of
AI in different fields would results in a huge ocean of unemployment that would be
enough to destroy the planet earth.
Dr. Hinton's concern is valid against the backdrop of the current world order
Any human-made system eventually collapses (Terminator movie example)
Until the world is shaped under the influence of permanent values, every step it takes will
lead to destruction
Otherwise, the purpose of life is to conquer the universe and share its achievements with
mankind
Just as wealth without hard work, trade and politics without principles become deadly sins
In the same way, scientific progress is poison without human welfare.
