On day 2, the cup with water started to change color to white. By day 3, the wet rice started to smell bad and its grains turned whiter. On day 4, the wet rice smelled stronger. By day 5, the wet rice smelled fetid and sour, its grains were shiny and white, and each grain stuck to the cup.
