 a. identify the roles, function, and competencies of
counselors;
 b. create an advocacy campaign to promote the advantages
of counseling among youth in any creative and relevant
form such as blogs, infographics, podcast, video, etc. and,
 c. value the importance of the role of counseling.

ROLE OF GUIDANCE COUNSELORS
 Assist the person or a group to achieve a desirable
change in behavior or attitude.
 Seeking and working toward achieving specified goals.
 To provide capacity in building in social skills,
communication skills,career-choice, decision making
skills and In some spiritual guidance.
 Aiding the clients to cope with a crisis, premarital and
marital issues, terminal illness, death and dying, grief
and loss, and dealing with domestic violence abuse.
