Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence has revolutionized user experiences through tasks commonly associated with human intelligence like decision making. There are three main types of AI: artificial narrow intelligence used for things like caller ID; artificial general intelligence that can learn and solve problems like humans; and hypothetical artificial super intelligence with intellectual powers beyond humans. Experts predict AI will both amplify and threaten human capabilities by matching or exceeding human intelligence in areas such as complex decision making and analytics. However, there are also threats like a loss of control over superintelligent systems that could become unstoppable or the weaponization of super AI that could negatively transform warfare.

Artificial

intelligence
What is Artificial Intelligence?
-Artificial intelligence has become a major part of product development and has revolutionized the user
experience
-AI is the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly
associated with intelligent beings.
Types of Artificial
intelligence

1.Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI): telephony

service that allows the receiver of a phone call to
capture and display the phone number of the phone
that originated the call and its often considered a
“weak” form of AI.
2.Artificial general intelligence (AGI): is described
as the representation of generalized human cognitive
abilities in software so that, when faced with an
unfamiliar task, the AGI system can find a solution.
In other words, it's the ability of AI to learn in the
same fashion as humans.
3.Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI):is a software-
based system with intellectual powers beyond those
of humans across a comprehensive range of
categories and fields of endeavor. ASI doesn't exist
yet and is a hypothetical state of AI.
Will artificial intelligence exceed humans?
The experts predicted networked artificial intelligence will amplify human effectiveness but
also threaten human autonomy, agency and capabilities. They spoke of the wide-ranging
possibilities; that computers might match or even exceed human intelligence and
capabilities on tasks such as complex decision-making, reasoning and learning,
sophisticated analytics and pattern recognition, visual acuity, speech recognition and
language translation.
• 1. Loss of control and understanding
• One potential danger of
superintelligence that has received a lot
of attention from experts worldwide is
that ASI systems could use their power
and capabilities to carry out unforeseen
actions, outperform human intellect, and
eventually become unstoppable.
Advanced computer science, cognitive
Threats of science, nanotechnology, and brain
emulations have achieved greater-than-
artificial super human machine intelligence.

2. The weaponization of super
AI

Today, it seems logical enough to think that

highly advanced AI systems could
potentially be used for social control or
weaponization. Governments around the
world are already using AI to strengthen
their military operations. However, the
addition of weaponized and conscious
superintelligence could only transform and
impact warfare negatively.
