OVERVIEW
In this lesson, you will learn how to construct a
research methodology, also known as research plan.
• Moreover, you will get some ideas about
constructing your own research instruments.
What is a research methodology?
• Research methodology is a systematic process that is used by
researchers to conduct research. It involves choosing research design,
selecting appropriate methods to collect and analyze data, and
reporting of results.
How to write a Research Methodology?
(1)inform the readers about the participants to the study.
(2) Review the statement of the problem, then provide a plan on how
to solve each problem.
(3) State what instruments or materials you will use to gather
information from the participants.
(4) Describe the procedure of gathering the data, and (5) Identify the
statistical treatment of the data gathered.

researchers to gather data and information for their study
instruments may vary depending on the nature of your
research

Since the goal of this module is to help you make a


statistical mini-research, therefore, we will focus on the
data gathering methods that expect a
quantitative data.
