DIGSI 4 - Generate Copies/Variants

A selected relay can be copied:

„Edit > Copy“ und „Edit > Paste“
The new relay comes up
Note: The new relay has a new internal address. Original
and copy are different.

For a selected relay a variant can be generated:

„Edit > Create variant“
The new relay variant comes up.
Note: The variant has the same address like the original
relay. Original and variant are not different!

s Power Transmission and Distribution
Power Automation
DIGSI 4 - Copie versus variant

A relay must be copied, when there are two ore more relays of
the same type and the parameters should be copied.
In this case the new relay must be initialized first (to get a
new internal address).

For a relay a variant must be created, when there are multiple

parameter settings are required for one relay.
The relay has to be initialized only once, because the variants
have all the same address.
