Introduction

Minitab is a data analysis software package that is


used for data analysis. It is widely used in a variety
of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing,
and education. Minitab provides users with tools to
perform statistical analysis, including hypothesis
testing, regression analysis, and ANOVA.
History of Minitab

● More than 50 years ago, Barbara Ryan, Minitab’s Chairwoman and co-founder
sought to revolutionize the way statistics and analytics were taught and applied.
She, alongside two colleagues, developed and introduced Minitab Statistical
Software at Penn State University. Minitab Statistical Software was intended to
help students perform statistical calculations easier, so they could concentrate
more on statistical applications. Over time, the software was rapidly adopted by
universities and high schools and across industries and became the market leader
for analytics used in quality and continuous improvement fields.

● Fast forward to today, and Minitab is still revolutionizing the analytics market.
