RADAR / ARPA
Power ON and Start the System
• Press POWER
• Press TX/STBY Observe and Adjust Video • Press RANGE to set the range to the scale required for target
• Turn the GAIN knob
(receiving sensitivity control) to obtain clearest target. Adjust to the point where the background static does not interfere with operation Observe and Adjust Video • Turn the SEA knob (sea clutter suppression control) to reduce the clutter echo caused by the sea
• Be careful not to set
this adjustment too high as it may caused the target to be erased Observe and Adjust Video • Turn the RAIN knob (rain/snow clutter suppression) to reduce the clutter echo caused by rain or snow.
