Discipleship?
Discipleship
“Discipleship”- refers to the overall process that God uses to lead you toward maturity in

God’s divine design for your discipleship. Each phase of spiritual development is
presented in the order that God has divinely designed.

Ages
•The term “ages” refers to the three major periods of
time you will live through before you enter eternity.
Ages
• First age: (Transferring Kingdoms) represents a period of sin, under the influence of
Satan and his kingdom.
• Second age: (Life in God’s Kingdom) represents the age we are currently living in
before you enter eternity. You now live under the reign of Jesus Christ while in a world
that remains under the influence of sin and Satan (1 John 5:19). Satan’s Kingdom of
fear and death is reigning in the lives of all unbelievers- at one time in your life you
were under the influence of Satan and sin, and walked according to the lust of your
flesh (Ephesians 1:1-3)
• Third age: (Life in the Millennium) once you receive Christ as Lord and Savior-
Colossians 1:13-14, you have passed from death to life, from Satan’s kingdom to the
reign of Jesus Christ (John 5:24) and enter the second age before eternity.
There are six elementary
Six principles of Christ, and they are
grouped in three pairs of two:
s • Resurrection of Dead
• Eternal Judgement
Age 1: • First age represents a period of sin, under the
influence of Satan and his kingdom
Transferrin • The first age is connected to the first two
g elementary principles of Christ.
Kingdoms • Repentance and faith toward God (Hebrews
6:1-2) (pg. 18): - commanded responses to the
Repentance person of Christ. These principles brought you
& Faith out of the first age of your life into the second
age.
Age 2: Life in God’s Kingdom
Doctrine of Baptism & Laying on of Hands
• Second age represents the age we are currently living in before you enter eternity. You now live
under the reign of Jesus Christ while in a world that remains under the influence of sin and Satan
(1 John 5:19). Satan’s Kingdom of fear and death is reigning in the lives of all unbelievers- at one
time in your life you were under the influence of Satan and sin and walked according to the lust of
your flesh (Ephesians 1:1-3).
• Second pair of elementary principles: These principles deal with the second age in your life
experience, which we are all currently living once you become a believer, you are saved and
experiencing the reign of Jesus Christ (while being surrounded by unbelievers who are still living
under Satan’s kingdom. You are apart of the body of Christ a chosen vessel for God to use. The
truth about this age is that you can experience the power, works, and reign of the Millennium to
come, and be an instrument in the hand of God to rescue people’s lives from the reign of Satan.
These two principles instruct you in regard to your behavior and purposes in the kingdom of God.
• These last two pair of elementary
principles deal with the last age in your
experience before entering eternity.
Age 3: Life in • Third age is the coming period of the
the Millennium Millennial reign of Jesus Christ over the
nations and the world Revelation 20:4-
Resurrection & 6.
Judgement
These three ages coincide with the
three pairs of principles and can be
summed up as pertaining to: how
to exit Satan’s kingdom, and enter
the kingdom of God, life once in
the kingdom, and the end
Summary judgement of your faithfulness to
the kingdom of God.

Stages and
While living in stage two there are major
milestones. These major milestones are four
stages on your journey toward maturity in
Christ these stages are stated in the word of
Division of 2. Child
3. Young Man (Young Woman)
Truth
4.Father (Mother) (stated in the masculine
but applies to females as well)
1 John 2:12
Stages and the Primary
Division of Truth
• Understanding the growth stage of a person is extremely important. The needs, diets,
abilities, and knowledge differ according to the natural growth stage you are in. A baby
had different needs than a father (a baby cannot eat any kind of food but has a diet
according to his/her needs and growth).
• The discipline is also different for a baby vs. a father. If a teenager cries when hungry
there is a problem, either growth pattern is abnormal, or they need to be held
accountable for crying.
• Same as spiritual growth- and recognizing what stage you are in is important. If you
view yourself as a father when you are a child or vs. versa it can be spiritual damaging
and can hinder your spiritual growth.
Stages and What God wants to do in your life is determined by
what spiritual growth stage you are in.
the Many times, believers try to get ahead of the spiritual
stage they are in, which always becomes a hinderance
Primary to their spiritual growth.
When you do not receive what God has for you in your
Division of current growth stage you become the biggest enemy to
your destiny of being conformed to the image of Christ
Truth and living out your calling for his kingdom.
You must recognize what growth stage you are in,
by willing to learn from God’s blueprint what diet
of the Word of God you should be digesting, and
grow up in all tings according to the stage of
spiritual growth you are in.
• - contained in the word of God
and how they connect to each
phase of spiritual development-
spiritual diet for each phase.
Primary
Division of
Truth
1. Gospel of Jesus Christ- this pertains to the person, life, finished
work of Jesus Christ, the salvation made available for your life,
and how you are commanded to respond.
Division of
3. Gospel of Grace- this pertains to what God has freely provided
for you through the finished work of the cross.
Truth
4. Paul’s Gospel- This pertains to the completed revelation of
God’s plan.
5. Word of Righteousness- This pertains to the doctrine of being
in right standing with God.
6. Revelation of the Mystery- This pertains to God’s secret plan
kept secret before the world began but accomplished through the
cross of Christ.
7.Gospel of the Kingdom- This pertains to God’s plan to establish
his rule and authority upon the earth.
• the term phases refer to the type of spiritual
development that God is working toward
during each stage of growth. As the temple of
God, you are being built during each stage of
growth by the Holy Spirit to be the dwelling
place of God in the Spirit (Ephesians 2:22).
Phases
• God is constructing your life according to the
blueprint in his word.
• Each phase represents a different aspect of
what God desires to do in your life (ex. Like
building a house- if not built according to the
blueprint it can lead to structural problems.
God knows how to develop you into his
dwelling place- must follow his blueprint and
no other).
1. Foundation
2. Transformation
3. Formation
4. Impartation
5 Phases of 5. Multiplication
Development
(Dive into these throughout the
rest of the book.)
Introduction of
Phases
• God is the great architect. He laid the foundation of the earth and stretched out the heavens as a frame,
Psalm 102:25. God created us- three components are spirit, soul, body- Thessalonians 5:23. God begins his
work in the deepest part of you and works out. God has a foundation for your life that pertains to your spirit-
1 Corinthians 3:11. Jesus Christ, the Word of God, is the foundation for your life. When you received him, he
came to dwell in your spirit. Once this foundation is completed, God beings the transformation and formation
phases. These two phases deal with the soul of a man. The soul deals with your mind, will, and emotions.
The soul affects your character and behavior. Impartation and Multiplication deal primary with the body of
man. These phases deal with your activity and purpose within the kingdom of God.
• We must submit to God’s Divine Design for our lives and follow his blueprint. Proverbs 3:5-6.
• On this journey of spiritual growth and development, let God’s blueprint, as revealed in his word, direct your
path. If you do so, your path will be made straight. If you choose your own path, you will create hinderances
in reaching the goal of maturity in Christ. Acknowledge and trust in His divine design for discipleship because
you are “God’s building” (1 Corinthians 3:9)
The
These helps facilitate your spiritual
development. These methods are tools that
God desires to use to accomplish what he has

divinely designed.
