This document provides an overview of the Cauchy-Riemann equations in 3 sentences:
It introduces the Cauchy-Riemann equations, which relate the partial derivatives of the real and imaginary parts of an analytic complex-valued function. The equations state that at points where a complex function f(z) is analytic, the partial derivatives of its real and imaginary parts u(x,y) and v(x,y) must satisfy du/dx = dv/dy and du/dy = -dv/dx. It also presents equivalent forms of the Cauchy-Riemann equations in terms of polar coordinates.

COMPLEX ANAYSIS
Complex Analysis is a branch of mathematics that deals with complex
numbers ,their functions ,and their calculus. Complex number ‘Z’ can be thought of as a point in a plane (x,y) , so Z=x+iy, where i=√-1. Complex function of a complex variable Z can be separated into functions f(Z)=u(Z)+iv(z), or , f(x,y)=u(x,y)+iv(x,y) CAUCHY-RIEMANN EQUATINS
The Cauchy–Riemann equations on a pair of real-valued functions of two real
variables u(x, y) and v(x, y) are the two equations:
Typically u and v are taken to be the real and imaginary parts respectively of
a complex-valued function of a single complex variable
z = x + iy , f(x + iy) = u(x,y) + iv(x,y)
If w = f(z) = u(x,y) + iv(x,y) is analytic at all points z in a domain D , then C – R equations are satisfied.

Polar Form:Let f(z) = f(re^(iθ)) be a complex function in polar form, where r
and θ are the modulus and argument of z, respectively. The Cauchy-Riemann equations in polar form are:∂u/∂r = (1/r) ∂v/∂θand∂v/∂r = -(1/r) ∂u/∂θ If these equations are satisfied at a point z = re^(iθ), then f(z) is analytic at that point. To verify that a given function satisfies the Cauchy-Riemann equations, we can differentiate the function with respect to the independent variables in both forms and equate the results to check if they satisfy the conditions above. Alternatively, we can also use the chain rule to calculate the partial derivatives of u and v with respect to x, y, r, and θ, and then substitute these expressions into the Cauchy-Riemann equations to verify them.
