Presentation On Accounting Software

This document discusses matrices and their applications in business. It begins with background on matrices as rectangular arrays of numbers, symbols or expressions arranged in rows and columns. The primary and secondary objectives are then stated, with the secondary objectives being to understand the basic concepts, operations, history, properties and applications of matrices. Several types of matrices are defined such as row, column, rectangular, square, zero and triangular matrices. Common matrix operations like addition, subtraction and multiplication are described. Finally, potential applications of matrices in accounting, such as representing financial statements and reports, are mentioned.

Background of the Study

In mathematics, a matrix (plural matrices) is a

rectangular array of numbers, symbols, or
expressions, arranged in rows and columns. The
individual items in a matrix are called its
elements or entries. An example of a matrix
with 2 rows and 3 columns is
Objective of The Report

2. Secondary Objectives:

 The secondary objectives are as follows:

 To know the basic concept of matrices
 To know the different operation of matrices
 To know the historical background of matrices
 To know the properties of Matrix operations
 To know the different application of matrices

Operations on Matrices

 Matrices can be added, subtracted and multiplied. Other than this matrix
transpose, matrix ad joint, inverse, conjugate, trans conjugate also
operations on matrices. For addition and subtraction of matrices order of two
matrices must be same. Order of a matrix is representing number of rows and
number of columns of a matrix.

 For multiplication of matrix A with matrix B that is for AB matrix number of

columns of matrix A must be equal to number of rows of matrix B
