Barangay Justice System

The Peace Prayer of Saint Francis is a Christian prayer asking God to make the reader an instrument of peace in the world. It asks God to help the reader sow love where there is hatred, bring pardon where there is injury, foster faith where there is doubt, inspire hope where there is despair, and spread light where there is darkness. The prayer emphasizes seeking to understand others rather than be understood and to love others rather than be loved. It concludes that it is through giving of oneself that one receives blessings, through forgiveness that one finds forgiveness, and through sacrificing one's life that one finds eternal life.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:


where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek


to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

EXECUTION OF SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT

• PERIOD OF 6 MONTHS (after settlement)


• the settlement maybe enforced by filling a motion
for execution in the municipal trial court of the
place were the settlement was made.

• Repudiation of settlement agreement


• any party can protest the settlement (10days)
• after the lapse of the period, the settlement will
take effect.
