targeted at creating food security – a situation
in which people need not be vulnerable to

HEALTH PROTECTION

Health protection is the protection of individuals, groups T

and populations through the effective collaboration of


experts in identifying, preventing and mitigating the W
impacts of infectious diseases and of environmental,
chemical and radiological threats. It is a subset of public
health—the science and art of preventing disease, T
prolonging life and promoting health through the
organized efforts of society.
