INTRODUCTION
• Education is one of the fundamental essentials which acts as a foundation or the building blocks which pave the way for our career. It
provides us technical skills, inculcates cultural norms and values, and grasp quality learning.
• On the other hand, Internships offer hands-on experience. They help in imbibing professional aptitude, broadens the spectrum, or
widens the horizon of our knowledge. It allows students to procure and experience work-life balance, assists in establishing professional
networks and contacts.
• Education provides skills but Internships help students to furnish, enhance and apply their communication skills, leadership skills,
problem-solving, and critical thinking. It allows the students to reflect on their professional aspects, demonstrate their potentiality,
proficiency, and skills. Internships help us to enlarge interpersonal skills and take up criticisms in a positive way.
• The demand for qualified and professional engineers is still strong. Still, as per sources, more than 60% of engineers are unemployed
every year due to a lack of practical knowledge and efficiency. This is because they may have excellent academic performance but
having real-life work exposure counts a lot in today’s competitive era, which may be lacking. Studying for an engineering degree is
different, but having hands-on experience and understanding of work culture makes a difference in job prospects and careers.
• One of the most acceptable ways to gain that practical experience is through an internship. For background with engineering, it is
crucial to gain experience through an internship as it fosters personal and professional development.

Using Jupyter Notebook, spend a few weeks improving my knowledge of Python, artificial intelligence, and
machine learning.
The following topics were covered in one-month Internship:

Applications of Python and why it is important to learn Python.
• Setting up the Environment and Programming with Python
Installing Anaconda Navigator and setting up Jupyter Notebook for python programming.
Programming with Python
Basic Python Programming like Data Types, Modules, Arithmetic, Functions, Strings, Lists, Tuples, Dictionaries,
Sets, Control Flow, Indexing and Slicing.
Introduction To Artificial Intelligence
Introduction to AI subsets of AI, overview of AI (ML DL )
Introduction To Machine Learning
Types of Machine learning, Classification of problems in ML and Data exploration and pattern recognition splitting
data as training and testing data
Studying Machine learning algorithms (linear regression, logistic regression, Random Forest, decision tree, KNN)
Training the model with help of training data and predefined algorithms
Testing the designed model

The following are the skills acquired through the four weeks internship programme:
• Fundamentals of coding through Python programming.
• Learned to use different python text editors.
• Evaluated many codes through the things learned during internship.
• Learned to do various projects on Jupyter Notebook and VS code.
• Usage of Python packages like NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit learn, etc.
• Working with images, csv files, pdf and emails using python
• Object oriented programming using python.

APPLICATIONS OF MACHINE LEANING
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, my AI and machine learning internship has been an enriching
experience that has enhanced my technical and professional skills. During
the internship, I gained a thorough understanding of various machine
learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep
learning, and natural language processing
The internship provided me with an opportunity to work on several projects,
one of which involved employee salary prediction using linear regression.
Through this project, I learned about data pre-processing, model building,
model evaluation, and hyperparameter tuning. The experience taught me the
importance of collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills in a
workplace.
Overall, the internship has equipped me with skills that will be invaluable in
my future career. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with my mentors
and colleagues, and I look forward to applying my newfound knowledge and
skills in my future endeavours.
