Implementation CSFB in MSC Op

This document provides instructions for implementing Circuit Switched Fallback (CSFB) in the MSC operator XXX network to allow voice and SMS services over the existing circuit switched infrastructure for subscribers attached to both the EPS and circuit switched domains. It describes activating the necessary licenses in the MSC, adding an MME entity and integrating it with the MSC via SGs interface links, and checking the link status and performance after integration to ensure CSFB is functioning properly.

1. Chapter 1 Overview
1.1. Background
• Now in Operator XXX network already implementation 4G technology (LTE) for
data service, this need for customer satisfaction in use data service. During
implementation 4G technology we need implement CSFB for cover CS service
domain like voice, sms.
• The Circuit Switched Fallback (CS Fallback) feature enables carriers to reuse the
circuit switched (CS) infrastructure to provide voice services for the subscribers
who are attached to both evolved packet system (EPS) and the CS domain.

2.1. General Step of Integration
Below the step for CSFB implementation:
• Activate license in MSC that already support for CSFB.
• ADD MME entity that will integrate with this MSC.
• Make Link between MSC & MME (SGS interface link).

2.2.1 Activate license in MSC that already support for CSFB

We must activate new license that already support CSFB feature. License we will get from marketing.

• Script for activation License

• SGs Combined IMSI Attached Success Rate
• SGs Combined Normal Location Updates Success Rate
• LTE SMMO Success Rate
• LTE SMMT Success Rate
