Digital Design Project

This document describes a project that uses sensors to test soil fertility and predict fruit growth. It involves collecting sensor data on nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, temperature and moisture levels. This data is transmitted wirelessly and analyzed using machine learning to predict suitable fruits for the soil and recommend nutrient additions. The system provides real-time soil condition monitoring and analysis to aid farmers in crop selection and soil enrichment.

Project Objective

• Soil is the base of agriculture its properties like

temperature ,moisture, nitrogen, phosphorous and

potassium decides yield of crop.

• The main objective of this model is to predict which fruit
should be planted according to properties in soil.
• For enrichment of the soil it also anticipates the required
amount of each property in the soil.

Methodology

• Step1:Collect the NPK, temperature and moisture values from

respective sensors.
• Step2:All the sensors are then interfaced with Arduino for the
processing of the inputs from sensors.
Vishwakarma Institute of Technology

• Step3:The NRF2401 wireless transceiver module is connected to

the Arduino to send the data from sensor node to gateway.
• Step4:To receive the transmitted data ESP8266 module is used
with receiving antenna which has access to Wi-Fi network.
• Step5: The output of every content in the soil is observed on the
ThingsSpeak server in real-time.
• Step6:All the complete data of nutrients of soil gets generated in
csv file.

6
Methodology
• Step 7: The dataset gets preprocessed and divided into
training and testing .
• Step 8: Decision tree classifier is used for fruit
recommendation

• Step 9: Accuracy of the model is analyzed.

7
Output

Output of a model is the Nutrient values of Soil which is displayed on web page

• Real time soil condition analysis.

• Soil property requirement prediction.

otassium heavily affect the yield of crop.

• This contents in the soil is sensed trough a open source

hardware and can be directly used in the field.

• A soil nutrient system ,analyzer and predictor model for

fruit is implemented in which the farmer will be able to
monitor contents in the soil and this model also results
which fruit should be planted and required contents in soil.
