Time Is Money

This document discusses the dot-com case study of Timeismoney.com, an online marketplace for expert advice. It outlines the founders' vision to create an exchange for buying and selling time-based professional services. While an initial investment from a venture capital firm helped launch the website, the bursting of the dot-com bubble led to changes in strategy, including a pivot to a B2B model. Despite amendments, delays in rewriting the software code put the investment at risk, requiring Timeismoney.com to consider alternatives to move the project forward.

Amendments in Strategy

Rebuilding of the existing software within the month. In-House development of the software due to high outsourcing cost. Hiring of a programmer to launch the mini version of software by six weeks with regular update in every 3-4 weeks until the stable version is launched.
