3 - Translation Transformations

This document provides information about translation transformations, including: - Translations move every point of a shape by the same vector. - A translation is described by a vector indicating the movement in the x and y directions. - Under translation, a shape retains its size and orientation but is moved to a different position. - Invariant points are points that do not move during a transformation, which for translation only occurs if the translation vector is (0,0). - Examples are provided to demonstrate translating shapes by given vectors and identifying translation vectors.

• the same shape and size B
• the same way round (orientation)
• in a different position
