Introduction To The Project:
 Student management system is an environment where all the process of the student in

the institution is managed. It is done through the automated computerized method.

 It includes process like registration of the student’s details, assigning the department

based on their course and maintenance of the record.

 As the number of the student increases in the institute manually managing the

strength becomes a hectic job for the administrator. This computerized system store

all the data in the database which makes it easy to fetch and update whenever needed.

 In the website we can register as a student for every student the authentication code

and the Email_id is provided by the administrator of the institute.


PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT :
 The main objective of the Project on Student Management System is
to develop a highly interactive web-based application, to allow the
administrator of any organization to edit and find out the personal
details of a student and allows the student to keep up to date his
profile. It’ll also facilitate keeping all the records of students, such
as their id, name, mailing address, phone number, DOB etc.

 To replace the old and traditional file (paper work) for storing data.
 
 To increase data accuracy, security and to make it more effective &
convenient.

 This system reduces the cost and workforce required for this job
Problem in the Existing System
 Save information in the form of excel sheets.

 Problem to manage huge data and to process the necessary report and
document.

 Loss of data due to mismanagement.

 Retrieval of data and report takes a lot of time to produce.

 Lacks of data security and lead to error prone results.

 Consumes a lot of manpower to maintain the manual system.

 Doesn't provide online services for any users


SOLUTION TO THESE PROBLEMS:
 Solutions to the existing system problems is to create a website that can
increase the accuracy and security in managing the students information.

 It will reduce the paper work load as all the information will be stored
digitally and can be managed from anywhere.

 The main solution is as the work will be done digitally it will reduce the
time taken to perform the same work and the data will not be misplaced or
lost as the documents are stored on a particular server or storage device.

 All the documents or information can be searched or verified at one place


from anywhere by just visiting the portal and accessing to the information

Information Management System is HTML, CSS, PHP,
MYSQL, Apache is used as the HTTP server, Notepad++
and all this is done in Windows or Linux environment.

internal assessments
