The words “Internet Research” often conjures up the image of a person sitting in
front of a computer monitor typing keywords in online search engines.

Most writing of “Internet Research” dwell on how fascinating and easy it is to


get information using the World Wide Web (WWW). While surfing the internet
for information is a legitimate “research” experience. (Goutham M. Meno, 2018)

relevant and reliable sources:

data, files, or documents
from data bases. Some
search engines we use today

challenge for us to
truly find which

reliable and relevant.

• You have an assignment in an Italian
art appreciation subject in which you
are tasked to look for artworks

• The only clue given to you by your
teacher is the word “Madonna”

PURPOSE

The purpose of the

parody something or
someone.
COVERAGE

This refers to how


comprehensive the
website is in their
discussion of certain
topics.
CURRENCY

It refers to how current


the information
presented is, and how
often the site is
updated or maintained.
It is important to know
when a site was
created.
OBJECTIVITY

Objective sites present


information with a
minimum of bias.
ACCURACY

It refers to the
credibility of the
website.
