INTRODUCTION
 Astha Life Insurance Company Ltd, a concern of Army
Welfare Trust, is a new company in the marketplace. The
company is the first of its kind to offer life insurance services
to Armed Forces and Paramilitary personnel’s as well as to the
general mass.

 The company started its journey with the aim to bring about a
positive change to the current insurance industry with its fully
digitalized operations, innovative and diversified product lines
and reliable services. The company is strongly committed to
provide a superior service to its customers and protect the
interest of its stakeholders.

ASTHA SHURAKHA
SALIENT FEATURES:
 The policy shall earn paid up value and surrender value only after it is in-force
for at least two years. Supplementary coverage namely "Accidental Death
Benefit (ADB)" and Permanent Disability & Accidental Benefit (PDAB) can be
taken along with this policy.
CONDITION
 Policy can be taken for 10,15,20,25,30 and 35 year's term and minimum for 10
years term.
 Policy owner's minimum age at entry shall be 18 years and maximum 60 years. 

PREMIUM PAYMENT MODES:


 Premium are payable annually but can be paid on half-yearly/quarterly basis as
well. In that case the calculations are as follows:Half year premium = Annual
premium x 0.525
 Quarterly premium = Annual premium x 0.275 Secured premium payment

ASTHA SHOMOY SHURAKHA
SALIENT FEATURES:
 The policy shall earn paid up value and surrender value only if it is in-
forced for at least two years.
Supplementary coverage namely “Accidental Death Benefit (ADB)”
and “Permanent Disability & Accidental Benefit (PDAB)” can be taken
along with this policy. Policy can be taken for any of 12,15,18,21 and
24 years term.
IN CASE OF POLICY LAPSE:
 Company’s standardized underwriting rules shall be followed with 30
days grace period.
PREMIUM PAYMENT MODES:
 Premium are payable annually but can be paid a half-yearly/quarterly
basis as well. In that case the calculations are as follows:-
Half year premium = Annual premium x 0.525
Quarterly premium = Annual premium x 0.275
ASTHA CHILD CARE
MATURITY BENEFIT:
 On survival of the Policyowner and child till the end of the
term, full Sum Assured with accrued bonuses shall be paid to
the Policy owner .
DEATH BENEFIT:
 If the Policyowner dies and the Child survives during the
term of the policy the following benefits are payable.
All future premiums will be waived.
Monthly scholarship benefit is 1% of basic Sum Assured is
payable until the maturity date of the Policy or until the date
of death of the Child if earlier
On the date of maturity basic Sum Assured with accrued
bonuses are payable.
ASTHA CHILD CARE (CONT)…..
CONDITION
 Payor may be father, mother or any legal guardian of the Child.
Entry age of Child is from 03 months to 15 years. Maximum age of
the Child at maturity would be 25 years. Entry age of payor is from
20 to 60 years.
Maximum Sum assured to be covered under this Policy would be
BDT 50, 00,000.
Term of the Policy would be from 10 to 25 years.
PREMIUM PAYMENT MODES:
 Premium are payable annually but can be paid a
half-yearly/quarterly/monthly basis as well. In that case the
calculations are as follows:-
Half yearly premium = Annual premium x 0.51
Quarterly premium = Annual premium x 0.26
Monthly premium = Annual premium x 0.09
ASTHA PENSION PLAN
Death Benefit:
  On death of the Policy owner during the Term 10 times of
annual pension is payable to the nominee(s).
 On death of the Policy owner during the guaranteed period
of pension the rest of the outstanding pension is payable to
the nominee(s).
Annual Pension Range
 Minimum annual pension: BDT 12,000.

 Maximum annual pension: BDT 12, 00,000.

Policy loan
 Policy loan will be allowed on the surrender value, less
any indebtedness.
