Generally speaking, the kind of site that you choose depends on what
your goals are and what you want to gain from your web presence.
The most popular types of website;

01. Business Websites
Business websites enable you to sell a certain service or
product. They often include sections for displaying and
describing what you are selling and have built in features
that let you make money directly from your site.
02. Blogs
Blogs are a type of website that enable you to write
long-form content about virtually anything. They consist
mainly of articles and images, typically surrounding a
specific topic. Some of the most popular types of blogs
include travel blogs and food blogs.
03. eCommerce Websites
These sites typically include product sections which
enable you to display/sell your products, as well as
shopping cart and checkout features online.
04. Portfolios
Portfolios are the perfect type of website to create. They
often contain a gallery which displays your work and text
which enables you to explain your expertise and provide
details about your work.
05. Event Websites
These sites allow you to display detailed information about
your event, include comprehensive schedules, transportation
suggestions, maps and more. They also might contain
scheduling and ticketing softwares which enable people to
reserve a spot at your event. This is especially useful for
concerts, shows or conferences, and can also be used for
virtual events.
06. Online Forums
Forums enable people to discuss topics, ask questions
and interact with one another. This would enable people
from around the web to connect to one another through
your site.
07. Personal Websites
is a simple way to boost your web presence. This type of
website is essentially a site surrounding and representing
a given person. Many people utilize personal websites to
display who they are and what they have accomplished.
08. Membership Websites
This type of website typically enables site owners to
make money off of their offerings to members or simply
to have more control over their site’s audience.
09. Nonprofit Websites

Another website type is nonprofit websites. Resembling


business websites, these websites often include a
description of the nonprofit organization, details about
the work they do, a gallery of past events and a place to
donate.
10. Informational Websites

Informational websites are a type of website that


encompasses many different things. Generally speaking,
they are used as platforms whose main purpose is to
convey information and act as a resource.

Headline
The Headline section is an intuitive feature that helps you build
a section that compliments any of your existing images. After
you create a Headline section, the new (empty) section will be
added to the page.

Text + Buttons: Text right-justified and center-aligned; title,
caption, and buttons all toggled to "on".
Layout: Edge-to-edge, full-width layout.
Design: Small section height; default section styling.
Row
A row is a section with one row of modules of equal widths. The
section layout you choose will determine the exact number of
modules you can add to the section.

2) 2) choose a layout, the new (empty) section will be added
to the page. Click + Add Content to drag and drop
modules into each content area within the empty section.
Columns
A columns section contains vertically expanding columns that
can each contain multiple modules. This section allows you to
stack columns of modules on top of one another.

to the page. Click + Add Content to drag and drop
modules into each content area within the empty section.
Buttons
A buttons section contains one or more rows
of buttons.

page pre-populated with empty buttons. To create a
button, hover your cursor over an empty button region
and click the settings icon that appears. You can then
select one of the built-in button types or create a custom
button by uploading an image and adding a button label.
Text + Buttons
A text + buttons section contains a full-width
Text/HTML module followed by one or more rows of
buttons.
1) 1.) create a text + buttons section and
2) 2) choose a layout, the new section will be added to the page
pre-populated with empty buttons + an empty Text/HTML
module. Simply click into the Text/HTML module to add text.
To create a button, hover your cursor over an empty button
region and click the settings icon that appears. You can then
select one of the built-in button types or create a custom
button by uploading an image and adding a button label.
Grid
A grid section contains a specific number of
modules arranged in a uniquely fixed pattern.

2) 2) choose a layout, the new (empty) section will be added
to the page. Click + Add Content to drag and drop
modules into each content area within the empty section.
Side-by-Side
A side-by-side section contains one row of two
modules of proportionally balanced widths.

2) 2) choose a layout, the new section will be added to the
page pre-populated with suggested content (i.e., An
Image or Video module alongside a Text/HTML module).
News
A news section contains uniquely styled and
arranged news items (added via the News module).

2) 2) choose a layout, the section will be added to the page
pre-populated with news items (only if you've previously
created news items and tagged them to appear on the
homepage); otherwise, the new section will be blank. Too
add a news item to the section, hover your cursor over the
section and click the + icon in the top right corner.
Events
An events section contains uniquely styled and
arranged calendar items (added via the Events
module).

1) 1.) create an events section and


2) 2) choose a layout, the section will be added to the page
pre-populated with calendar items (only if you've previously
created calendar items and tagged them to appear on the
homepage); otherwise, the new section will be blank. To add
a calendar item to the section, hover your cursor over the
section and click the + icon in the top right corner.
Tabs
A tabs section allows content to be “stacked” for quick
referencing and shorter page lengths. The section layout allows
you to organize your content into categories so that site visitors
can simply click the topic of information they want to view.

2) 2) choose a layout, you’ll enter the name of your first tab.
Add more tabs by selecting the + in the upper right corner
of the section. Click + Add Content to drag and drop
modules into each tab’s content area. Tabs can also be
selected and dragged to change their order.
