The document describes a science lesson on the life cycles of different animals. It includes learning outcomes, science process skills, attitudes and values, materials, and the lesson procedures. The lesson will teach students to describe and compare the life cycles of animals like butterflies, frogs, mosquitoes, and chickens. Students will learn that animals go through different stages of development and may look different at each stage, though some young animals resemble their parents.

A life cycles shows a different
stages that animal undergo.

Animals undergo changes

in size/form as they go
through the different stages
in their life cycles.
There are young animals
that look very different from
their parents. Examples:
Butterfly Frog Mosquito

However, some young

animals look like their
parents. Chicks

A floating clump of eggs
is called frog spawn.

LIFE CYCLE STAGES

Eggs: attached to
one another to form
a raft.
Larvae: occur in all kinds of
standing water, such as; ditches,
woodland pools and unkept bird
baths - anything that holds
water for more than a week.
