Introduction

Shell is a publicly traded oil and gas business based in the Netherlands and registered in the United
Kingdom. 
It is one of the sixth largest oil and gas company in the world. 
It was founded in 1907, entered the chemical industry in 1929, and purchased the mining company Billiton
in 1970, which it later sold in 1994. 
Shell employs over 87,000 people as of 2020, making it a significant corporation. In the same year, their
yearly income was $180.54 billion, and their total assets were valued at $379.26 billion. This indicates that
the business is for profit. These are the products of company-

•Liquefied natural gas 
•Lubricants 
•Petrochemicals 
Recruitment and Selection 
Shell has two primary recruitment methods. There are openings for students and graduates, as
well as seasoned professionals.  
Shell's application procedure is divided into four steps.
Stage-1
First browse the shell's website. They can join Shell's "talent community" to be notified of new
possibilities. Recruiters will contact the applicant if a suitable position becomes available.
Stage-2
After meeting expectations, create an account on the Shell website. Upload resume/C; this
provides recruiters with information about the candidate
Stage-3
If it is accepted, recruiters schedule a phone interview, within two weeks of the submission.
The phone call is estimated to be between 45 minutes and an hour.  
Stage-4
Applicant must complete an assessment. It happens within three weeks. Shell arranges a virtual
interview if the applicant is not in one of the assessors' locations based on a behavioral
structure, a professional interview, or even a presentation evaluating their competencies
Graduate program
Shell has a graduate program that allows applicants to work in the company's technical,
commercial, or corporate roles. They are given instruction, business understanding, and the
necessary training to become a member of the leadership team.

•Shell gives the support and training to grow and develop because they recognize the crucial part every employee plays in
their success. They offer both internal and external training programmes and have a range of formal leadership programmes.
From on-the-job learning and training programmes to mentoring and professional development, they help you reach your
personal and professional goals. 

• Shell Advanced Technical Programme – It is a programme for experienced technical professional to further develop and
advance their careers in Shell.

• Senior Women Connect - It has been designed to help senior women support each other with gender specific leadership
challenges. This is a targeted leadership programme aimed at senior women in Shell. 

• Women's Career Development Program - It is a highly interactive diversity and inclusion  learning program designed to
help female Shell employees identify what they want from their professional and personal lives and to support them in
achieving their full potential.

• Mentoring- It is part of Shell’s culture; it is part of the way they develop people. Mentoring is a key contributor to guiding
people in their journey to realize their full potential and reduce their time to autonomy. They understand that mentoring
is critical for female progression in terms of building leadership and self-confidence.
