In Bali this distinction is often very blurred since many farmers paint,
many sculptors farm or have other jobs. Most walls are carved, most
houses have decorative motifs. Art is everywhere. To the Balinese the
act of creation of beautiful things is second nature. All the ladies of a
village will make the amazing decorations for temples, and the elaborate
offerings, thinking nothing of spending three days making things which
will be only used for a few hours.

STAGES IN PRODUCTION PROCESS

 Preproduction or Subject Development – artist would always start with an idea on his mind

 Production or the Manipulation of   Materials – involves gathering and manipulation of materials

 Postproduction or the Completion Stage – finished product, out in the market and will exposed for
public display or it will performed for the audience
MEDIUM AND TECHNIQUE

 MEDIUM is essential to art. It denotes the material used the artist or substance to communicate
his ideas, new visions, values and even intuitions.

 TECHNIQUE is the actual doing of something. It refers to the familiarity of the artist to his
materials and how he manipulates or controls it.
GRAPHIC ORGANIZER OR STORY MAP

 A GRAPHIC ORGANIZER uses visual symbols to express knowledge, concept, thoughts or ideas
a n d t h e r e l a t i o n s h i p b e t w e e n t h e m . I t i s t h e m o s t e ff e c t i v e v i s u a l l e a r n i n g t o o l s a n d i n s t r u c t i o n

such as concept map, mind map, knowledge map or story map .


ART ENGAGEMENTS AND EXHIBITS

 It is an arrangement of art pieces or array of any art collection in an exhibition spaces like
galleries, exhibition halls, world fairs and museums.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION FOR
ARTISTS AND ARTISANS
 The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) instituted the awards and citations for
Filipino artists who made remarkable and significant contributions to the arts and culture.

 Order of the National Artist – it is the highest national recognition for creative Filipino artist
whohas made significant contribution to the development of the Philippine arts in the discipline of
painting, sculpture, architecture, music, dance, literature, film, broadcast arts and allied arts.
