Evaluation: I have analyzed different products with their sizes, shape and material,
further over-viewed their function.
I aim to solve this problem by manufacturing my product - a storage place where my client can keep her hijabs and her
scarf pins in a well-ordered way. This way my client can see all the color and designs of her hijabs. Furthermore she will
certainly be able to find the most suitable and well-matched hijab with her clothing. Which will give her a better fashion
sense and an enhanced experience. The hijab stand will not only act as a storage place but also as a decoration. It will
make my clients house presentable and organized.

CLIENT REVIEW ON MOOD BOARD wants
• My client Safa liked some ideas of existing products and color schemes although she didn’t like everything on the mood board, I can pinpoint the ones she
preferred. This gives me feedback and allows my product to be according to her preference and simultaneous to the specification. She chose the
honeycomb (hexagon) rack since it reflected the nature the most. She also chose the casa wooden row hooks. Overall, she loved all designs and color
palette, but she preferred the rack and hooks more than the spiral standing racks. Moreover, Safa did not find the idea of beneficial, since it wouldn’t
clearly help her organize her scarfs in a pleasant way. My client likes the idea of small authentically appealing products. She also disapproved the idea of
dark dull colors and hanging scarfs with clips. Safa adored the idea of shiny brass metal, therefore I will include that in my final product.
• Pine wood is softer and more workable than most hardwoods. Pine is a
sturdy wood, however it can easily be dented and scratched. It is not as
strong as oak wood but still grantee durability.

I'm amazed by the outcome of this product. It definetly looks and gives of different

vibes than the design idea (and the outstanding CAD model you made), so this wasn't
what I was prepared for. For example, you have used cardboard to make the whole
product- I do understand your circumstances, but the lack of acrylic (color) makes the
product look bland and simple- not much of a décor item, right? I do admire the shed;
I love the style of it. I really hoped for a transparent container, where I could see
through my items stored, so when I'm in a rush I can quickly get my things. However,
this doesn't mean I don’t depreciate or dislike the product. I'm quite dumbfounded by
the range of ideas you presented me; each one of them were splendid. It was hard to
choose. Nevertheless, even though you had a lock down, you still managed to make a
satisfactory product including majority of the things I specified. I would definetly use
this! I'm sure this won't be the last time we meet, because I will 100% willing to
request you to design and make new things for me in the future. Thank you so much!
• After finishing the final design. Few test were done on the rack-
by placing 6 daily used scarfs by my client into the rack and
placing some creams inside the container; to test the results and
see whether the stand will fall, or the scarfs call inwards (for
any error). As expected, the rack functioned properly
successfully storing all 6 scarfs for a long period of time. The
weight of the cream and the scarf wasn't too heavy therefore,
the stand could carry their weight and support the structure.
Moreover, the container's lid opened and closed with ease, so,
its function was achieved. All the scarfs were organized in a
well manner, and items were stored in the storage unit. Not to
forget, the rack still has the décor item appearance, meaning it
looks fine and supplements the room.
Evaluation: here in this slide, I identified what modification I will make if
i make the product again and final evaluation of the product.
FINAL CONCLUSION
•I'm satisfied with the outcome of this product. My design idea coming to life and
physically being present makes me proud and accomplished. Furthermore, despite
being in a lockdown, I made use of the materials I had, it was a sudden change of
plan. Instead of using plywood, acrylic, magnetic tape and brass hinges, I used tape,
cardboard instead. During the making I decided to change the interior- the way the
pipes were attached inside so they could be firm and stronger.
•IMPROVEMENTS: modification and changes
One of the things that I'm really desperate to change if I make this product next time
is the material. I wouldn't use cardboard, instead I prefer plywood (so the structure
can be sturdy and durable very long lasting), acrylic (for aesthetics and color, décor
element) and even metal for more of antique touches, not forgetting PVC pipes which
will store the scarfs instead on paper since they are stronger. I would stick with the
current shape of the rack. Instead of making the product at home, with less
proffesional equipment and lack of materials I would rather make it at a workshop,
where I can access tools and all the new prefered materials. I would make changes to
the stand so it can be more reliable and sturdier. I do like the weight of the rack, its
easily moveable and the size seems perfect; however, I would make modifications to
the color of the shed maybe add replaceable shed with different color so my client can
personalize her rack when ever she feels like.
