Holistic view
Recruitment : Recruitment refers to the process of screening, and
selecting qualified people for a job at an organization.

Requisition Management
Requisition Management : Process through which requirement is
submitted for which recruitment needs to be done. Requisition will
include job description, profile, # of people required and deadline
HR : All the job requisitions are sent to HR for approval because it is
the custodian department that monitors all the job descriptions,
functions, number of positions and roles existing in the
organization. HR determines whether the need for job is there or if
any of the job roles are being repeated.

Job Description: A JD is a list of the general tasks, or functions, and


responsibilities of a position. A JD is usually developed by
conducting a job analysis, which includes examining the tasks and
sequences of tasks necessary to perform the job.

Profile : Profile is an ideal match of any job description, may


include education, experience-level, knowledge and skill sets.
Assessment Management :
It is a process through which job applicants go through so that
their suitability for the job can be evaluated against the
specified criterion.

Usually assessment is comprised of following steps :

1) Screening
2) Evaluation Test
3) Interviews
Profiler : A profiler is a utility used for screening applications.
It is based on a list of pre defined variables such as age,
education, experience etc.

Applicant : An applicant is someone who has applied for a job


and he is called for assessment within “n” number of days.

Candidate : If an applicant remains applicant (Not picked for


assessment) within , He/She will be marked as candidate.
Whenever the organization has an approved recruitment
request, an email will be generated to all the candidates to
assure he/she is still interested or not. If he/she is interested,
he/she will be marked as applicant.
Screening : The search committee is responsible for selecting
the candidates for assessment who meet all minimum
requirements and are most qualified to fill the vacancy based
on the stated requisite and desirable qualifications. Selection
of applicants after assessment and interview is also included
in Screening.

Evaluation Test : Evaluation test is the process through which


short listed candidates go thorough so that their overall
capabilities and job related skills can be tested. An evaluation
test is usually comprised of IQ and job related section.
Initial interviews : Process of having a conversation with
candidates, short listed after test, in order to judge factors
such as personality, adaptability and fit for the organization.
Initial interview are normally conducted by HR.

Final interviews : It’s a process in which a panel of people has


a conversation with candidates, short listed after initial
interviews, in order to come up with a detailed assessment
that eventually leads to final decision.
Offer Management : Process by which offer is made to applicant.

Offer Variables : Quantitative analysis through which tentative offer


is generated. It may include scores for each variable such as
Education, Experience, test scores, interviews scores, internal and
external equity.

External Equity enables a company to develop compensation


structures that are competitive with other companies in the same
industry. Our pay policy is such that we hire people at a salary level
which is 1.5 times more than what the market is paying.
Verification Management

Verification Management : Process through which all


documents are verified against profile that was submitted.
However, pre employment test which is part of assessment
phase is also conducted at this level because certain amount
of cost is associated with it.

Requisition Delivery

Requisition Delivery Management : Final step in recruitment


process during which applicant is handed over to respective
department. Normally this will include training and specific
domain.

2. Separation Concept Document
Holistic view
Separation : It is the process through which either the employee
or the employer decides to quit the working relationship with
each other. It can be in the form of termination or resignation.
Resignation: It is the process through which an existing
employee decides to quit the working relationship with its
employer. Resignation is always initiated by the employee
himself.
Termination: It is the process through which an organization
quits the working relationship with its existing employee for any
reason. Termination is initiated by the organization.
Notice period Waiver : This type of waiver is granted to those
who are allowed to leave without serving the notice period of
30 days while salary is also given for the notice period. For
instance if an employee is granted a notice waiver he will not
be required to serve the notice period and he will also be paid
for those un-served 30 days.
Clearance Process
Clearance : Clearance refers to the process of acknowledgment by
different departments that the separated employee has returned
all the office related possessions. Following are the main
departments :
Reporting Authority : leaves, any work related comment/feedback
HR : office ID card, business cards, exit interview
BA (Benefit Administration) : insurance cards, fuel card, mobile set
with SIM and accessories and all other benefits the employee was
entitled to.
Transport : transport related issues
Finance : check financial status (for eg. Loans)
IT : system delivery, laptop and revoking User IDs and Passwords
etc.
Positive Settlement : When the separated employee is paid certain
amount of money by the organization. It comprises of his salary,
accumulated PF and other cash adjustments (if any) while
corresponding deductions are also made from the final amount.
Negative Settlement : When the separated employee owes certain
amount of money to the organization it is called negative settlement.
Experience Letter : It is a letter issued by the company on its letter
acknowledging the service span of the separated employee. An
experience letter contains the designation, department, number of
designations and tenure held for each position. It is issued with the
final settlement cheaque.
